Double Fine's 'Hack n' Slash' just dropped on Steam, don't see how it fits the clue though, unless it's supposed to be a 'logic gate'!

DCT: That or Konami's Collector's series Castlevania and Contra(it was a emulated compilation for the PC featuring Castlevania 1-3 and Contra and Super C as well as Jackal which can only be accessed through hacking) since the first part of Castlevania 1 is a locked gate in front of a castle with a tower..
Words can not describe how amazing that would be. ^_^
(GOG, make this happen!)

Again I was unable to twist the meaning of this weeks hint into One Must Fall 2097 (I still believe the day shall come though) And thus instead I must guess:
Gate... bars... behind bars... !
