Galaxy will most likely launch next week. Also prepare for many new games, as well as multiplayer updates to previous releases. A special sale would also not be out of the question, so don't be surprised if a whole Galaxy related event is planned for next week.

JinseiNGC224: I also noticed GOG's gaming catalog jumped up nearly 10 games within a day, when nothing appeared new on the site aside from that odd number. When I asked Judas about it he said they added some "GOG bears" to the site. Symbolism for games in hibernation? Prepping to surprise us with a bunch of new titles with Galaxy? It would be neat if it were true!
Look it's GOGBear!

Hehe :)

So pages that currently don't exist, even though some coding may be in place.
Weeellll, it's midnight in Poland, so I guess either there's nothing worth hinting about or they want to surprise us. We are at least suppose to be getting that pigeon game next week, right?

It's delayed to Sept. 4

Makes sense I mean we have a bunch of place holder urls, the total game count shot up while the total number of available games hasn't really changed and GOG Galaxy was slated to be coming this month.

Ah okay.

I thought the game count shooting up was due to an issue with DLC being counted as games. Don't get me wrong, I hope this points to some amazing, highly-desired releases, but I'm not sure.

Huh, well that is the first I heard about that so I hope that is not the case. Since I am looking forward to a flood of more games as well, even though I won't have the cash to get most of them for another week or so but it's always nice to see a flood of new releases all at once.

I'm gonna connect some dots and make a prediction here...
-Game count went up.
-Bioshock and old X-COM games DRM-free in a recent HB.
-2K sale on Steam ending Monday, excluding old X-COM and Railroad Tycoon games.

Could 2K finally be here? :)

That was EXACTLY my thinking, too, but initially forgot to say anything and then figured it'd be best to avoiding hyping too much. But the dots DO connect.

I just hope GOG can get some good sales from these games even though they've been on sale everywhere. It would be wonderful if it wasn't just 2K's games but Take 2's backlog also, the early GTA games and Max Payne 1 & 2, and classics not on Steam like Oni (of course), Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller, Black Dahlia, Ripper, etc.

GOG getting Take Two and 2K games would be great!
EDIT: Ah, JinseiNGC224 asked it and he's posting here. :P

Okay, so here is the question about "805" games and Judas' response that danced around the issue - http://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_update_thread/post3527

I could imagine the classic X-COM games and Bioshock coming, but that's only 5 games (right?), so maybe it also includes the first 3 Civ games, Railroad Tycoon 1 & 2 & 3 (though 3 is not compatible with modern machines on Steam), and a few other classics?

I do afear we're setting ourselves up for a great disappointment (as why wouldn't GOG be hyping us already?), but it's fun to theorize.

aren't there more Apogee games to go. Maybe they will be ones added to the free section. Must keep hopes in check, must keep hopes in check...
Would love to see Take2 joining and the first Mafia game coming here. Chances are low, though.
