Also take the GOG version of Saints Row: The Third, for example. Store page says "NOTE: Multiplayer is available only through a LAN connection" and one of the reviews says:
I own this game on Steam. I loved it, even if the story and characters paled in comparison to the SR2.
But let's be clear, as fun as the game is playing solo, the best play is co-op play. And this GOG version doesn't do online co-op. Disappointing to say the least, as someone who would love to play co-op with his international wife.
Still worth buying, but it does feel like only half a game without that online component. Here's hoping GOG can get it working through Galaxy or something.
GOG and Deep Silver don't seem to have a problem with broken/missing features for the Windows versions here, so why should it suddenly be a problem when it comes to the Linux versions? Alternatively I've heard that multiplayer is broken on one of the Saint's Row games on Linux, and the other ones are buggy also, so it's possible that is why they're not here as well.
On Steam, the Linux version of Saints Row 2 is buggy to the point that I can't see GOG accepting it. Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV could offer better performance, but they're not that bad - I've played through them and they're generally stable at least. I haven't tried the Steam version of GooH but I'd expect it to be similar as it uses the same engine as SR3 and SR4.
