Hello GOG,

You don't know me, but I have a question for you. I was looking at your release of The Settlers II (10th Anniversary Edition) and what do I find?

Both executables are UPX packed and when I unpacked them, I thought, hummmm... those executables look a bit familiar. Oh, that's why. They're the ones I removed SecuROM from all those many moons ago, when I was still "almost" young.

You seemed to have nicely renamed the section that I added and changed some stuff in the resource section, but it's fairly obvious where you got them.

A thank-you would have been nice too.

That's a pretty cool story, but can you back this with evidence, like a header string?

What's really interesting here, is how you "looked" at those files, and how you "unpacked" them...without owning a single game here on GOG.

Naaah, that would violate a few privacy laws. Just some hex code would do.

I expected the title to be misleading and I'm still disappointed.

Pirate pirates gogs game to check if its pirated any pirate stuff they pirated.

Pirateception!
Cracked executables' copyrights are still on the game IP rights holder, I guess.

Thank you, I guess. You saved the IP rights holder's and GOG's time when they re-released the game.

Considering you did not have the right to modify the exe in any sense, the holders or developers have the right to do whatever they want with their property

If you have doubts sue them :D

TWInteresting: Hello GOG,
You made GOG account to admit you illegally crack a old game some years ago?

That's metal bro!
