edit: worth noting there is a 2032 year instead of 2199 for the expiration date...

SargonAelther: I just wanted to thank the OP for making me aware of the classic versions. I bought the enhanced versions a while ago and never noticed the serial key for the free classic versions lol.

I've now redeemed both successfully.

Hopefully support gets back to you, OP!
Keep in mind IWD EE and Planescape Torment EE also have classic versions not only Baldur's Gate that you can redeem if you own them ^^

Happened the same to me on the same game. Contacted support on the 24th received new code on the 31st.

Not a problem! I had bought the original version before the EE was released, so I never had a use for the bonus code. Happy gaming! ^^
