Hi,
I bought Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. Gog promised me clasic version. When I tried to use my code, i saw "This code is currently being redeemed by someone" message. I Bought BGII EE too, and I get classic verison without problem.
What can I do with this? I send message to support. But maybe I must wait and try activate another time. Maybe I should return game and buy new copy?

Since you used a code, it means you did not buy the game on gOg. whom did you buy it from?

if you used a grey market key seller, there is a chance you have been scammed. if so, you need to take it up with the place you got the key from

I bought games on gog, BGEE 1 and 2. But if you buy BGEE you can get key to clasic BG for free. I'm 34 YO, I loved this games when I was kid, and I want play clasic edition :)

Key to BG2 clasic it's working, but when I tried activate BG1 clasic I saw message from topic.

I bought game only from gog, this company is from my country, from my city and I support them :).

Message GOG to give you a new code. It seems they gave you an already used key. The devs is the other option to ask. I wonder how that happened. I guess their system for giving keys is not perfectly working and maybe 2 people ended with the same key.

That would mean it requires online activation, which sounds a bit strange, since

a) This is GOG, i.e NO DRM
b)The classic BG game dates back to... when? late 90's? early 00's?

Make sure the games aren't already added to your acct. Maybe try refreshing your browser. If the problem lasts, then yes, contact support. I've never heard of someone buying anything from gog and not being able to get it.

He got a code bundled with his game to get something else using that code.



edit: in the end it could also just be a browser error. Trying to redeem the code, then aborting and then trying again. The system would rightfully assume that someone else is trying to redeem the code that very moment.
Of course the error could also be on GOGs side, yesterday the servers were heavily overloaded.


That a code obtained from GOG is given to two people ... possible. That these two people try to redeem it at the exact same time ... unlikely.

Do before doing anything else, wait for thirty minutes or so, then try again.

Thanks for your replays. I tried actvate code now, but unfortunately it's not working. I must wait suport's mail. If code is broken i will return BGEE

I just wanted to thank the OP for making me aware of the classic versions. I bought the enhanced versions a while ago and never noticed the serial key for the free classic versions lol.

I've now redeemed both successfully.
