Is it still the platform for people who want to be safe and independent of companies bad behavior? DRM is just one example.

Few months ago GOG changed redeem page and blocked it for me this way. Now they have done the same with the login page. I think they've done the same with the payment page.

I think it's not the script thing but something deeper. The second one, you are not able to find it now. It was about ubi bad habits not just about steam case.

Most doesn't mean ALL. I just want to use my gaming library not the half of the web. That's the case that I'm not using any additional content blocker in browser used to GOG. It's not like that. GOG didn't add reCAPTCHA, they changed how it works.
Google didn't do that but GOG.
Other platforms changed something the same way earlier but on GOG redeem page google recaptcha was working perfectly for me until one day 8 months ago.
There is the same issue with login page now. I logged in a week ago without a problem. Today I was not able to do it with the same setting.

Even though I am generally permanently logged into GOG, or automatically after my PC has booted and connected to the web, I had to do the Cookie Acceptance thing today. So clearly they've just changed something.

Most but not all. In the "necessary cookies" category, there was at least one Google analytics cookie. Why in the world is that "necessary"?

edit: if gog.com is not conducive to your threat model shop and browser via galaxy it will reduce your footprint and remove the concerns.. that said you can safely block rollbar and google from gog.com page and it works fine.. do not block akamai or deltacdn as its needed to function and deliver content.
