Here is a topic for discussing things that (some) twitch.tv streamers do that you don't like, including those that might cause you to stop watching the streamer. (Note that it is OK to mention things streamers or uploaders to other sites do, but note that this topic should stay focused on the streaming of videogames.) Here are some of mine (in no particular order):

* Streamer has an unnecessary animation on the stream layout.
* Streamer has a camera showing a pet. (I have actually seen this.)
* Streamer refers to their audience as "boys".
* Streamer has a new subscriber alert that produces sound or that covers up part of the game.
* Streamer's layout covers up part of the game with something; especially an issue if that part of the game screen has HUD information or similar.
* Streamer speaks with an accent that's hard to understand. (If you're a streamer with such a bad accent, consider not using a mic.)
* Streamer uses profanity, especially in situations which don't warrant it.
* Stream is not in English. (Sorry, but I only watch English streams, or commentary-free streams. It's OK for the game itself to be in another language, however.)

So what are your issues with (some) twitch streamers?

Exist.
Stream.

Wow, never took you for an ableist, with a hefty side of xenophobia.

How is it ableist to not want to work extra to understand a streamer, whose accent interferes with my enjoyment of the stream, or whose language I don't understand?

Anyway, back to the topic, I thought of another one:
* Streamer mutes the in-game audio (or even just the music), and plays other music instead.

Because people don't have accents for shits and giggles, it's because they can't speak the language better. So this, rejecting them on the basis of their physical limitation, is the classical example of ableism.

Then simply watch one of countless other streams you do easily understand. What's the point of broadcasting here what you personally have a problem with?

That's what I do (in fact, that's what I do whenever I encounter one of these problems, unless it's minor enough that it doesn't ruin the stream). I am just curious what other people dislike about (some) twitch streamers.

Here's another very specific one that will cause me to not watch the stream:
* Streamer is playing Zelda: A Link to the Past, and is playing said game without the use of major glitches. (Of course, if the streamer decides to play something else, or decides to do a playthrough *with* major glitches, I am willing to watch that.)
Bandwagoning trends.

Which is probably why I stay to a small circle of old world Goon streamers.
I have nothing against streamers personally and can understand why non-gamers might want to watch someone who does game. But I really don't feel the need to see any distracting webcam or third-party chat message overlays that both constantly distracts the gamer from playing the game, and irritates myself trying to see the game's HUD / UI underneath all that mess.

In fact, when I look for gameplay footage to decide if I want to buy it, or perhaps a walkthrough for a puzzle solution, I always search for "no commentary" stuff for a reason. (For non-English speakers, it's a search term that basically means "no webcam, no microphone, just the recorded footage without all the chronic attention seeking...").

And they rarely twitch, unless you run some electric current through them.

This actually reminds me of one:
I do not watch competitive multiplayer games.

Also, I thought of another one:
* Streamer reads all the in-game text out loud, particularly for text heavy games like many RPGs.

dtgreene: * Streamer mutes the in-game audio (or even just the music), and plays other music instead.
I'm by no means an expert in matters of streaming, but I suspect this could sometimes be caused by a wish to avoid legal issues, especially if the soundtrack consists of licensed music (such as a GTA game) and they wish to upload the stream after it first aired.

In another scenario in which the game has a very limited selection of music I might even prefer not t have to listen to the same few songs over and over again.

Things I dislike:
- Constantly making stupid choices in games where such choices are important (such as strategy games).
- Having important in-game information hidden behind something they've added to the screen. Related to that:
- To big face screen. I'm probably more interested in what goes on in the game that how well you've put on your make up.
- To many viewers. To me, the main point with a stream compared to a let's play is the interactivity; this is lost when there are too many people in chat spamming memes.
- Games I have yet to play that I want to play. I don't want my future playthrough spoiled by streams/let's plays.
