So Lucha Underground did Aztec Warfare 2 this week and it was the best show I've watched since NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom. Every storyline was advanced, everyone in the match had their working boots on, and we got three excellent debuts, including Rey Mysterio Jr., who almost looks like his entire WWE run didn't happen and he's back to being the slimmed down and fast Rey from late 90s WCW. Lucha Underground was already my favorite wrestling show and it keeps getting better :)

It is sad what happened to Hulk Hogan though.

Balls Mahoney died last week. Blackjack Mulligan died recently as well.

Now Chyna. RIP, ya big tough lady.

Besides the obvious a great attention to costume correctness. Puts several serious big pictures to shame (i.e. Scarlet Witch).

Chyna was someone who was always around in the WWF’s attitude era, getting involved in main event matches and eventually becoming intercontinental champion. I don’t think I’d even seen a woman who looked like her on television before her debut in 1997, she probably helped broaden a lot of kids minds. It's so weird to now be a young adult rewatching WWF Raw archive footage from only 20 years ago and see ghosts everywhere.

Apparently things did not go as planned for CM Punk in his UFC debut. Too bad, I was rooting for the guy. Looks like 99% of UFC fans didn't, though. The hate was/is real.

Not a surprise. Even when you take away his lack of shoot fighting experience, Punk is in his late 30s and physically is probably a lot older than that thanks to all the broken bones, sprains, and concussions he got as a wrestler. I'm still surprised they medically cleared him to fight at all.

It's the same reason they didn't pull Can Newton out of Thursday nights game; he sells tickets.

I love wrestling. My role model is Kevin Owens. His promos are great, he has a lot of charisma but works his heel character well anyway and he has the best move set in the roster. I want to become a professional wrestler. I actively attend gym, started to buy steroids for better results. My next stop is to take part in a national contest.
