All-new gameplay footage with developer commentary + Q&A session on Twitch.tv/GOGcom!

This coming Monday, GOG.com and CD PROJEKT RED invite you to a special live streamed event at the GOG.com Twitch channel!

We'll be showcasing 15 minutes of completely fresh The Witcher: Wild Hunt gameplay highlights, while Damien Monnier - Senior Gameplay Designer, and Miles Tost - Level Designer, will be coming in live from the studio to provide developer commentary for the new footage. They'll be offering their insight, and an exclusive peek at the development process behind closed curtains at CD PROJEKT RED.

Once the gameplay commentary is finished, we will hold a live Q&A session on the air. Damien Monnier and Miles Tost will take the time to respond to live comments coming in via Twitch chat, as well as to select questions from the GOG.com community forums! It's a rare opportunity to ask about all the saucy details of The Witcher: Wild Hunt development.

If you have any questions for the folks at CD PROJEKT RED, you can submit them right here in this thread. You have until Sunday, Jan 25 at 7:00 PM GMT to submit your questions, when we'll be selecting the most interesting ones to throw at the devs during the live chat.

The live stream will begin on Monday Jan 26 7:00 PM GMT / 2:00 PM EST / 11:00 AM PST (you will find a countdown clock below) at Twitch.tv/GOGcom. Follow our channel for an e-mail alert when we go live. We'll see you there!

More in detail explanations about pc requierements for this game + if you will support mantle would be nice to know.

Also is there going to be a demo to see how the game plays on different pcs since it has very high requierements?

Is it going to be an open world game and won't have to many movement boundaries? For example in Witcher 2 I couldn't take a shortcut through the forest to get to the city in order to finish the quest and had to go all around the forest on the track. So basically is it going to be less scripted and give us more movement freedom?

Questions:

can the witcher 2 saves be imported in the witcher 3?
will it carry some weapons and armor?
will it affect the story?
will the changes made by the witcher 1 that affected the witcher 2 make any effect or change on the witcher 3 by importing the witcher 2 save?

would you release an upgrade for systems with ultra high end systems with Uber GPUS and ram(40 GB is a samll size for such game)?

What are the other free dlcs that are planned for the witcher 3?

will the witcher 3 have a multiplayer function?

any chance the witcher 3 will have a weight based inventory system instead of slots(i suffered from this matter in the witcher 1 :/)?

Thats all

Thanks for making great games :)
What are the minimum requirements to view the video? :P

Can't wait for this showcase! :-)
Hi CD Projekt Red. Thanks for giving us this fantastic series! Praise your excellent work and keep it up.
Now, will we get freedom to explore the open world & pursue side quests as Ciri? Or will gameplay as Ciri be very structured and plot driven, perhaps to the point where we are required to complete a linear event or events as Ciri, purely for storytelling. So that Ciri gameplay is just a device keep the main quest/story rolling in an engaging way. Freedom to explore/level up/side quest as Ciri would be fantastic.

guilhermecn: My question: It's possible to further clarify the Alchemy System? How it will work, if the potions will or not replenish when geralt meditates or if we will have to gather more herbs to make more
+1 to this.

Now that the game is feature locked, further clarification on precisely how the finalized Alchemy System works would be wonderful.
Will ultra-widescreen format (21:9) be supported? I don't have a monitor like that yet but I plan on getting one in the future and some games don't work well with that format and a lot of games place their in-game user interface in the corners of the screen (obviously to not obscure your main view) but this becomes a bother on 21:9 because the corners are physically placed much further from the center of the screen. Also it would be nice to have the option to be able to completely remove the UI to admire the scenery without anything in the way.
Hey guys.

- Are there thoughts of a post game expansion, which will be a first both for TW and CDP itself. What are the odds of it happening? Will we get to play Ciri sooner than ever waiting for the inevitable next witcher game :D

- Will we finally get to visit the valley of flowers? We've been waiting a long time for this!

- Will we have a witcher easter egg, a cyborg Geralt in Cyberpunk 2077? :D

- ANY news on CP77, even a sentence!

Thanks, who knows how I'm waiting for TW3 :)
How many Endings or Ending Variations do we have to expect in the game?
Will the tattoo of naked lady brandishing a sword affect our relationship with Yeneffer? ;) (I kept the tattoo)

Will the swords from Witcher 1 transfer to Witcher 3?

Will we get the Raven's Armour?

Anything on Cyberpunk 2077? Maybe some Easter Egg?
high rated
Will Witcher 3 be available on Linux? On release day, or later?
Question 1": Will the environment have affect on combat? Like when you're in the water and the electricity impuls will shock you?

Question 2": What do you feel about the gamepad controls in the game? Could uou tell us the basic gamepad layout functions?

Question 3": Is it difficult to port to Xbox One DirectX API or PS4's OpenGL? Are the console makers support You with the latest API's and drivers to improve the game stability and performance?

Thanks!
Really looking forward to the stream so thanks a lot for doing this guys, as you're probably quite busy finishing up the game since its crunch time. Can't wait to see the exciting new gameplay footage and the Q&A afterwards. My question is:

Is there any particular feedback from the fans of The Witcher 2 that you have specifically incorporated in The Witcher 3 to make it a better game in terms of gameplay, combat, user interface or anything else?

Will all my abilities that I unlocked in The Witcher 2 will transfer to The Witcher 3?
Will there be any level cap like witcher 2?
Will there be any underwater city that I can explore?
Will we meet Saskia's father the golden dragon?
Can my horses die?
Will there be any monsters/ animals that I can ride besides horses like Wild Hunt mounts(they look pretty cool)?
For how many hours approximately I can play as Ciri?
Can I use Ciri's time travel ability?
There's (was?) the problem with the minimap giving away too much information and holding your hand by showing quest markers, exclamation marks or the differently colored general area of the objective plus spoiling the type of creature you're tracking when doing monster hunting.

Is this still the case, and in case it is, can we do something about it, like checking/unchecking options to either hide the minimap as a whole or at least certain spoilery/immersion breaking aspects of it?

Are you aware that the minimap - if it's to stay as it is (was?) and you couldn't customize it - also makes the Witcher Senses essentially pointless since you'd just have to follow the arrow or the exclamation on the minimap?

Are the Witcher Senses customizable? Could you, for instance, check/uncheck an option and leave out certain elements of the environment/terrain from being highlighted? I'm not talking about tracks or blood trails but immersion breaking things like highlighted ledges that basically show you the path you have to take for progressing or completing an objective.

+1 for a PROPER explanation of the Alchemy system.

Do empty potions magically self-refill on their own while meditating or do you re-brew them using herbs and other ingredients you have to gather or buy from a merchant, like in TW1 or TW2?
