Win official Witcher jigsaw puzzles and wolf head medallions!

We have a couple more gifts to hand out before our 5th birthday celebration comes to an end. For starters, just to spoil you all, we're giving away a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition with every purchase on GOG.com, until Thursday, October 17 at 9:59 AM GMT. If you haven't had the chance yet to meet Geralt of Rivia, the white-haired monster slayer, this is your most affordable ticket to the Witcherverse. That's not all, however. CD Projekt RED was kind enough to share some official Witcher merchandise with us, and we want to give it all away to you, dear users! But, as you may have expected, this does not come without a challenge.

Are you good with pixel-art? This competition is perfect for you! We want to see your Witcher-related pixel-art. Be it scenes, character's, classic 2D or isometric, 8-bit or 16-bit palette, invented game screen-shot mock-ups--it's up to you. There are two important rules: your image needs to be up-scaled x2 (that means 2x2 pixels) after it's done, so it can be viewed without too much squinting, and the resulting up-scaled image must be no larger than 600x600 pixels in size. Apart from that, it's all you and your creativity!

The two top submissions win the official Witcher beautiful jigsaw puzzles, and a code for $9.99 GOG.com game. Three runner-ups get Witcher wolf-head medallions and a $5.99 GOG.com game. You have time until Monday, October 14, at 9:59AM GMT to submit your work in the forum thread below. Good luck, and have fun!

Notice: You retain rights to your submitted work, but by entering the compo you grant us the right to present your submission on our site and social media channels (with all due credit, of course).

Thanks! Didn't have it and I've never played it, so this was a nice thing to pick up =)

+1 for you, Good Sir! That was a very nice treat to throw out there for people. :)
I have Idraw3 to make stuff but how exactly does making something 2x2 pixel art work. :(
Sorry, this might be a very dumb question, but I'm not very tech savvy, so I have to ask - what exactly means that sentence:

"your image needs to be up-scaled x2 (that means 2x2 pixels) after it's done"

Do i have to zoom my original picture (100%) x 2, so it gets upscaled to 200%, or did I completely misunderstood that?

Oho! Didn't get a reply so I was unsure if it had been seen.

If your image is 100x100, stretch it to 200x200 using nearest pixel matching.

Ah,...OK

Thanks for your answer!

What is 'nearest pixel matching'? :D
high rated
Seems I'll be the first to submit something. I had "KEEP IT SIMPLE" on my mind and I've just done this.

Just make sure that stretching the picture doesn't make it look blurry. :)

Nearest neighbour aka point resize
Useful only for magnifying areas for examination or when you need to retain the pixelated look like in pixel art

"PointResize is the simplest resizer possible. It uses a Point Sampler or Nearest Neighbour algorithm, which usually results in a very blocky image. So in general this filter should only be used, if you intend to have inferior quality, or you need the clear pixel drawings. Useful for magnifying small areas for examination."

I wish I could just buy a wolf head medallion; a shirt or a puzzle.

Why doesn't CDProject Red have a store on their website?

Does anyone know where I might be able to acquire such things, besides this contest?

http://puzzle.cdp.pl/ But I don't think they deliver them abroad.
I think the medallion was part of some Witcher II special edition.
You might still get it that way.

Hah, pretty cool. I wonder what the Witcher games would have been like, some 20+ years ago.

Although I do suggest that people should upload their entries in GIF or PNG format, since those work better for this type of work. ( No artefacts or blurring. )
