TW3 crashed immediately for me as well, however it looks like I've fixed it on my system.

Even though I used the standalone installers and was not using Galaxy to run it, it looks like it needed Galaxy to be fully updated before it would start (I have Galaxy installed but have not used it for a few weeks). All I did was start Galaxy, let it update itself and then close it and now TW3 is working as it should...

The old setup (that caused the problem) was version 1.0.0.871.
Now i've installed galaxy version 1.0.2.958 and updated it

even without loggin in to the new Galaxy Witcher starts working without renaming the dll
I had this problem too, turning off UAC in windows control panel worked for me.
I think that for me worked the new patch for GeForce Experience. Tried everything before, just now I reinstalled and updated the driver. Works now.
hm, that trick with galaxy didn't work for me

I tried every ideas i read in this post and none of them worked.

I want to try some tweak via nvidia geforce experience but i can't. My game crashes at launch so there is no user.settings file in documents.

I was wondering could one of you upload that file for me .

Reinstall game and driver ?
thx! worked fine!
Getting rid of Galaxy, make sure all files are deleted even in the registry. If they are still in registry
then they could still have an affect.
Be careful in Registry as you can harm your PC.

Run
type (regedit) without brackets.
in registry be very careful and delete only Galaxy related...
you have to manually look in each folder.
