I've found out some info (on quite different site) that crash on start might be due to game not supporting graphic cards that are not compatible with DirectX 11.. As nothing else seems to solve my problem and nobody from cdprojectred nor gog.com is responding I guess the only way to find out is to change the graphic card itself.. So I will let you know after changing my Radeon HD4770 to GTX960 if that is the case.
You can check if your card supports dx11 by using dxdiag.exe and looking at Display tab for Drivers DDI Version..
Anyone out there that have older graphic card (not compatible with dx11) that has the game running?
Anyway I think the game should at least display meaningful info/error about not meeting the requirements and refuse to run instead of crashing silently..

This type of error is happening with various different setups. f.x. on CDPR forums this was reported from a GTX 970 user. Also my card supports DX11.

Having the same issue like everyone else which kinda sucks massive.

The game worked the last days absolutely flawless and today it just wont start. The only thing happend was that my galaxy client just updated itself so maybe that's where the issue is coming from?

Too bad that there isn't a real solution made by GOG. It's obvious that alot of people are experiencing this, and it's not acceptable.
I have been waiting for the game to release, and now i can't play it.

Hoping to get some updates on some fixes soon!
ok i figured out what my problem was:

I am using the tech preview of Windows 10 and yesterday the build 10122 came out. The update caused some system files patched in by Redistributable Packages to disappear.

So everything i had to do was to reinstal the "Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package".

And for further notice, the GoG Galaxy Launcher does a quite start on a game and it will not show you error messages.
Try to start the game directly. The .exe file for that is located at "Your Path\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64\witcher3.exe". You may get some additional informations out of that to fix your problem.

I agree.
Yea same problem with Radeon HD4770. The GOG support says: "The game will most likely crash without an error message if your computer is below the requirements." Crashing without an error message in 2015. O_O
Looks like newer games fail to inform you about why your games isnt running even if you have an unsupported Directx..
Looks like the problem in hardware. I made test changing my gt9600 to gt640 - game started without any trouble. gt640 is not mine. I played 3 hours and rechange. So it back me to the crash again.
Hello all. Just a quick update. Since I got really sad I've went for some radical methods. I completely reinstalled my windows for a clean setup. After I installed withcer using my manually downloaded files (before the win setup) and it worked no problem. So my guess it is some kind of software, rather then hardware failure.

Got confirmation from gog.com about not meeting the requirements for graphic card (http://en.cdprojektred.com/support/t...-requirements/). Got a refund (store credit). This is the first game that I cannot play on my system.
Then I've decided to buy a new a graphic card so I bought the game once more with GTX960. After swapping the graphic card it runs perfectly... for about 25 mins then it gets killed by out of memory (6GB is not enough if you do not have swap turned on).. turned on swap... and everything works great! installed 1.03 patch - so far no issues..
Anyway make sure your graphic card is dx11 compatible - you can have dx11 system but not the dx11 compatible card.. weird..
