Which video? I saw one someone linked and thought it was Xbox. Link would be appreciated. I don't think SLI or Xfire may solve it.......We don't know how the engine is at optimizing for such hardware. Afterall, we still live in a world where most games can't properly use more than 2 cores on a CPU.
Does anyone know anything about the similarity of the RE3 to the Cryengengine? Or any other? That may shed some light on possible future optimization.

Here is the they used a controller on PC because mouse and keyboard is not final yet and still being tweaked according to [url=http://www.pcgamer.com/the-witcher-3-level-designer-on-the-delay-pc-controls-and-world-building-2/]this interview on PC Gamer. There is a 1080p 60 fps option on youtube but the uncompressed video link (almost 3 GB) provided in the description is locked to 30 fps.

I guess we will have to wait and see when the game comes out with proper benchmarks released, it does look really good in the uncompressed video though so I hope these remaining months of development are utilized by CDPR for further optimization for PC as well and not just on consoles.

I'll let you in on a secret. Racing stripes. Paint them on the side of the case and watch how fast your system will go. :)

I didn't have any paint for the stripes so upgraded my system this month, just the graphics card left to update. So much cheaper if I'd just bought the paint though.

So, this would be the first game I have bought that wouldn't run on my current PC.

My system lacks ram and I am not sure my laptop´s APU woul take the toll.

It is an AMD E1-2100 APU, it is supposedly more recent than the one mentioned in the minimum requirements, but somehow I feel it is not that good. Instaling extra RAM would not be that hard, but a new CPU is a whole different matter.

Hmm, that's only a dual-core and also with very low frequency. Just because it's more recent doesn't mean it is better. I'm afraid your PC is far too weak to run this game. :I

Indeed. I think its too weak to run it. But everything depends on what resolution he/she wants to play at.

I guess I am going to have to buy a new computer, this time a desktop one, they are easier to upgrade, unless someone from CDPR tells me my current system could run teh game, which obviously will never happen.

You could wait for a demo if CDPR releases one, but either way; even if it does run, it will just scratch the surface on the lowest resolution and details settings.

I would be OK with that for a while, I care more about the story than the graphics, honestly the graphics mean nothing to me provided there is a good story. I just hope I can play it before I have the money to buy a new system.

Indeed. You can compare benchmarks of your hardware with the minimum specs here: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPU/39 . But I think the CPU will be too weak. On the other hand, how much of an expensive rig one has will only run it at 30fps if current rumors are to be trusted. So any system that can run it at more than 30 will be overkill until CDPR or modders unlock that cap.

That will be enough. Make sure you get a good PSU. Also, a GTX 770 will outperform the 680 so that may be worth looking into. There is little reason to get a 680 today, since I think you cam get better cards for lesser. Depends on pricing on your budget in the end though.
