The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt live combat, gameplay mechanics, and more, with developer commentary and a Q&A session, are coming live to Twitch.tv/GOGcom!

This coming Tuesday, GOG.com and CD PROJEKT RED invite you to a special live event at the GOG.com Twitch channel.

We will be showcasing 45 minutes of live gameplay with Łukasz “LUq” Wnęk, Counter-Strike 1.6 legend currently working at CD PROJEKT RED, taking control of Geralt. He will be joined by Level Designer Miles Tost, who will provide developer commentary for the new footage focused on combat and gameplay mechanics including melee and long-distance combat, alchemy, exploration, monster hunting, and means of travel.

Once the gameplay portion of the stream is finished, we will hold a live Q&A session on the air. Miles Tost will take the time to respond to live comments coming in via Twitch chat, as well as to select questions from the GOG.com community forums! It's a rare opportunity to ask about all the saucy details of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt development.

During the event, you can expect a Witcher lore contest, in which you will have the chance to exchange your Geralt-related knowledge for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt t-shirts, with a little help from Twitch chat and your friendly neighborhood postal worker.

We're done collecting questions for the folks at CD PROJEKT RED about the upcoming Witcher game from the forums, but you will have another chance at asking yours live, on the Twitch.tv/GOGcom chat!

The live event will begin on Tuesday, May 5th, at 6pm GMT / 2pm EDT / 11am PDT at Twitch.tv/GOGcom. Follow our channel to get an email alert when we go live. See you there!

Can Geralt sleep?
Will the upgraded armour look different from the previous version?
1st-Q: A single Nvidia gtx 960 enough to have Physx ON and still be able to be above 30 FPS?

2nd-Q: How will the upgraded versions of signs work? Once we upgrade for example Aard sign we will be able to cast both versions by holding or taping the cast sign button or will we only have access to the upgraded version?

Would be cool to have access to both versions...

Aw, crap. I guess that's the last time that guy at the street corner got my money. I probably should have learned my lesson already when that one copy of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain turned out to be just a VHS tape of "Escape from LA"...

apehater: lol, i want want that copy too, where did you get it?
Well, I certainly didn't make it myself and I definitely didn't use any combination of image manipulation software and a printing device.
Does radeon users should be worried? I haven't seen in any place assuring that we don't have to be afraid. I've already bought the game but i'm afraid if the game is going to run fine with my graphic card and i'm not the only one.... I have a radeon hd 7870 and we (radeon users) need to know!
Often when games go open world or have a TOO massive map they usually lose their quality of well crafted quests. I felt The Witcher 2 stricked the perfect balance between level design and a well crafted story. Hence, I fear that The Witcher 3 may be full of nonsense such as fetch quests, boring collectibles and may cause a disconnect between story and gameplay. Please tell me about the side quests that are in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt and what settings and resolution are the players on the minimum system requirnments expected to run at?
What equipment will transfer from Witcher 2?
Hi i just have two questions.
first is - will the Witcher 3: Wild hunt be familiar to people like my self that have read all the book and have played all the games and secondly will we see familiar faces e.g. Lorveth, Nenneke, Saskia, Ves, etc.
p.s. my biggest worry is in your attempt to make the Witcher 3: Wild hunt appeal to new players that you may over look the old fans of the witcher.
Will the Witcher 3 on Steam use CEG, or Steam's client requirement?

This question comes because of the statement below which claims the PC version will have no DRM and the later added update to it which calls the statement itself into doubt.

I’d like to say it loud and clear: The PC version of The Witcher 3 will have absolutely no DRM from day 0. Zero. Zip. Nada. It doesn’t matter if you choose to buy it on GOG.com and support us directly or buy the game in box format, you’ll still get the 100% DRM-free experience. And this goes for the whole world.

We’ve fiddled with DRM in the past (Oh boy! How young and naïve we were;)) and that’s enough. Lesson learned.

UPDATE:
It’ll be on Steam; the team isn’t going to exclude that community by any means. Gamers have a choice in where they buy their games, but where CDPR does have control — like GOG.com — there will be absolutely no DRM.
Basically it starts saying there will be zero (zip nada) DRM on PC for Witcher 3, yet then seems to backtrack in the update, making it sound like it would be out of your hands if the Steam version did have some sort of DRM.

As far as we know CEG and the client requirement are both optional. There's a list right here on this forum keeping track of games on Steam that do not use these, and it's still getting added to regularly. Is there any reason why Witcher 3 will not/could not be on this list?

I concur - as Bioware demonstrated, third game of trilogy is the best one to jump in: both new and old players have no freaking idea what's going on. /grin.

I wonder, does grass on this misses self-shadowing or not?
May we expect in the future another DLC with various locations, how with Tussent? For example Rivia, Liria?
What can we expect from the 16 free DLCs aside from the already announced stuff? ;)

Are there any quests related to specific in-game time of day?

Is there a chance we might get to play Gwent online against other players?

Where are the gnomes?

And why are you the coolest devs on this planet?

so many questions... (okay forget about the last two :P but aswers to the rest would be really interesting)
when will the preload for the witcher 3 wild hunt be avadible on pc/gog.com and steam
In the Witcher 2, under certain circumstances, we can talk to Siegfried. He tells us what the Order Of The Flaming Roser is going to build a castle Barienmurg near Roggeveena and even invited us to visit.
So here's the question - in the Witcher 3 Geralt visit an old friend?
