TOY2HELL: I tried that and I can only do the GoG as a link on steam. I am not able to do TW3 as a none steam game. Because of the DRM Free.
avatar
InfraSuperman: But you have downloaded and installed TW3 already, right?
Yes but when I pull the exe. up on steam it gives me a error. I have to go through GoG to even be able to play the game. It is the wierdest thing ever.
avatar
Avogadro6: Activating Gog keys on Steam is not possible. You could add TW3 as a non-Steam game though.

Yeah, but at least it enables the Steam overlay and it shows up in your library. That's all you can do really, short of buying it again on Steam.

edit: wait, did you install it via Galaxy?

The game's not tied to anything. The only thing you'd need to go back to your GOG account for are updates.

Klumpen0815: I got Half-Life 3 on Steam for free with my 1070 gtx. Prob is I dont want to use Steam, I want to use GoG... I tried to add the key to GoG and it doesnt work. I tried to find the game as a none GoG game and it doesnt work. Is there anyway that I can get Half-Life 3 on my GoG profile even if I have to still use Steam? I dont need 2 different gaming pages when I like the one I use currently. GoG... Help please.

PS: In case someone still doesn't get it:
Witcher is made by CDPR which made GoG, Half-Life is made by Valve which made Steam.

TOY2HELL: Cant these programs just work together. I mean why?!?!?

Shouldnt matter, You should be able to load none games to what ever program you decide to use. Doesnt matter if it is Valve, or any other company that makes the game. You are saying that GoG has GoG only games? Please.
Why can't you just use 2 clients?

I have been using Steam since 2004 and gog.com since 2011. I stopped purchasing PC versions of video games from Steam in 2012.

As of April 2015 Steam has turned into such a monopoly for the PC gaming market that it is bad if VALVe ended up selling all PC versions of video games exclusively on it's store.

Electronic Arts (EA's) Origin, which I hated since 2010 when I first read about it that I have decided in April 2015 to not hate Electronic Arts (EA's) Origin and now welcome it to break Steam's monopoly.

tinyE: I totally understand your not wanting two gaming platforms, so I recommend you switch to GOG. :D
I applaud to you ;))

P.S. I have 500+ games on Steam but for some reason I can't transfer them here... hmm

I figured it out, I had goto into the Bin folder and I found a linkable exe file that works in steam. Thanks for the help from people that helped. To the sarcasm that has been posted, go f yourself. Thanks for the help guys.

That is odd indeed. So far, there didn't seem to be any problem in starting TW3 without Galaxy, at least from what I've heard, I don't have the game myself.
What .exe files can be found in the Witcher 3 installation directory?

Maybe you should stop purchasing video games from Steam and start purchasing as many video games as you can from gog.com.

Support gog.com. Help gog.com grow bigger. The more sales gog.com earns from PC gamers purchasing video games from gog.com, the more video games gog.com can have AAA video game publishing companies and AAA video game development companies release for sale on gog.com.

Business logic 101.

It wasnt in the main folder, which the exe tends to be. It was buried into the bin folder which I thought was kinda wierd.

Hey gog fanboy fanatic.

Do you not see that the OP just asked a simple question. That does not mean that you try to push him into doing things he does not want to do.

Maybe you worship gog like a religious fanatic, most reasonable people don't. Stop forcing people to convert.

It is ok, it is the interweb. Toxic people are everywhere and I already gave him a negitive rating for his comment. Thanks for being supportive tort1234.

I hate Steam so much so I will say how much I hate Steam on these gog.com forums.

I'm not forcing people to convert to gog.com. You just have to realize Steam is a monopoly right now on the PC gaming market.

I have Steam and have been using Steam since 2004. I played Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on May 20th, 2015 for 1 hour. I have a total of 600+ hours played of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

So keep it to yourself... I dont really care what program you like more. Steam is where it is because people like it. I didnt come on these forums to bash GoG. I just wanted to fix my problem. Like what you want and I will like what I like. Please dont post here anymore. You are toxic and not welcome.
