HypersomniacLive: ...one needs to have Java installed to play this game?
Yes.
Also I'd like GOG to specify these requirements, when applicable:
-java
-flash
-net.framework

I'd vote for that if you have a wishlist entry. ;)

HypersomniacLive: IIRC, Lilly Looking Through is another case affected by one's global settings of Flash.

Geralt_of_Rivia: Also Neo Scavenger.
My solution for that is the BetterPrivacy extension for Firefox.

1. Set Flash storage settings to default
2. Check "Prevent the Firefox 'Clear Recent History' functions from handling LSO's as usual cookies" box in BetterPrivacy options.
3. Use the BetterPrivacy LSO Manager to mark "localhost" as a protected folder.
4. Set BetterPrivacy to delete Flash cookies on browser start and if not modified within 2 days.
5. Profit

Some of these actually require an internet access, so you can't install the game on a computer with no internet connection. I believe it was Outlast and its .net framework that I noticed this. Rather than bundle it with the game, the installer needs to download it from the internet. Luckily I have internet on the computer, it was just turned off. But if someone wanted to install the game on an offline computer, it would not really be possible, as some require the internet to install the additional frameworks.

Perhaps GOG should make sure to bundle everything with the installer, and also tell users what external frameworks and programs will be needed to play the game.

Edit: Nevermind, it appears I might be using an older installer. It's possible this was fixed in a later version and that the .net framework is fully included in the installer now.

This shouldn't be happening. .NET framework should have a redistributable that includes everything needed, and it is intended for large scale deployment (100s of computers, download once, install on all of them) without the need for download by each installation. No idea if that has been fixed yet or not, but I'd guess it was a fluke.

Outlast definitely required me to download .net from the internet. It could be an older installer (it was some time ago that this happened), I am not sure if this has been fixed with the latest versions. I only notices as I was installing it on a fresh version of Windows, before that I always had the usual frameworks installed from other games.

I am sure you are correct and that has been fixed now. I do not always keep up to date with my installers.

I wonder if it works as intended now. In the last version the DLC broke the latest patch. Will check it when I get home. Hope the new version will work fine with my recent saves.
Double Dragon Trilogy has been updated.

Changelog for version 1.10:

Fixed the multiplayer private lobby and pause/resume issues. Also fixed the game over issue that was occuring in multiplayer.
Still waiting for the Door Kickers 1.07 update. :(

Well, that's not a problem for GOG since the site revamp; game pages now state [emphasis added]:
No activation or online connection required to play.
While I believe this wording was chosen due to how Galaxy downloads & installs games, it comes with the added plus that it covers everything else too.
Looks like The Masterplan got an update, to version 1.02. No announcement yet in the subforum. From the library page, it's a new installer and not just a patch file.

With the changelogs in place, I don't think that GOG is announcing new patches on the subforums anymore.

Hmm, I kinda wish they would. Duly noted, tho. Thanks.

So if you haven't bought the game you can take your best guess to find out if GOG has received the latest version - so better not buy. Well done, GOG ;)
