MarkoH01: I though Galaxy would be optional and we can still use GOG downloader as before. Wll they end GOG downloader?
I can still use it.

ElTerprise: The won't support it any longer but will be usable afaik...
Yes, that. Don't look for any further development on Downloader, and it wouldn't be surprising if it just died a silent death somewhere down the line.

tburger: Why I do not see any info about updated game in Galaxy?
Not sure, but it's all there if you view it via a regular browser :)

I think it is already on its way to a silent death since for example they are not any more providing the option to download extras seperately with the downloader, only the complete bundle.

Yeah. A good idea would be to make the downloader open-source but i think that's unlikely...

And the long awaited patch 1.1.1 for Quest for Infamy is finally here.

Good point. That's already one feature lost.

I think at this point it would be better for them to open-source Galaxy. Then folks could write a lightweight download client that supports the new framework.

Incidentally, Risk of Rain and Quest for Infamy just got minor updates.

Yeah and the Quest for Infamy notification decided to stay....

Open-sourcing Galaxy would be great...

Hmmm ... the optional client is becoming more and more not so optional - or is it just me thinking completely in the wrong direction?

@GOG

Invisible, Inc. is still on Upcoming tab instead of New tab.
I like how the new notification system is even worse than the previous one (which didn't show any updates).
I've had multiple updates where I've had notifications, but nothing in the 'Updated' section of my library.
And now I have multiple updates, but there's only one according to the 'Updated' section.. until I open it and hey there wasn't just one update!
It's all the excitement of opening a present!

It pretty much ceased being truly optional once GOG rebuilt their whole user experience around it. Possibly it will be optional in some fashion forever, but not using it is likely to only make things more difficult as time goes on.

That is what I was afraid of :(

Crosmando: What's new about Secret Agent and Terminal Velocity?

JudasIscariot: You don't see the changelog when you browse your library via regular web browser?

I specifically put everything there :)
I feel like an idiot, but I just found this. YAY so much better.
The assault of the Linux versions. Aside Secret Agent and Terminal Velocity, Monster Bash and Master of Magic have also received Linux version.
