That means it's definitely related to the pending invitation status as you got both results (the 404 and my wishlist) from me.

Yep, there's definitely a bug-link there. Makes the situation with that setting being the default one even worse.

Why are the stars in the Grargar wishlist you posted yellow, while I see them as grey when I click on his View Wishlist ?

It's another thing which shouldn't happen because atm the wishlist for friends-only can be pretty useless due to this bug.
Well i had my wishlist public before when i had it on the GOGwiki. So i don't see a big problem with it becoming public again...
