Treasure: Thanks. :-) However, the interesting part is that unlike others, I didn't receive a phantom-notification that would be your invite (only saw your 2 "replies" to my posts), and since I don't intend to use Galaxy until it's actually released (I don't like alpha/beta products) I won't unfortunately accept your invite until it shows up as a phantom notification and stays there until I install Galaxy or something...
Nae worries. I don't get friend notifications here on the GOG forum either, only in Galaxy. I wonder why some get it on the web but not others?

Why do you wonder about that. We have known for a long time that the gog notifications work differently for everyone :D

So the number next to my "Account" tab and the sum number of updates on various tabs when I hover over my "Account" tab are different for the first time ever. Friend requests? That I will never see and never be able to get rid of?

DAMN YOU GALAXY! :)

EDIT: I have read backwards, so this is now merely rhetorical. But the conclusion stands!

I also get them only on Galaxy.

BTW, I accepted your invitation (and all the other pending invitations).

Now, the menu option for doing so in Galaxy is called "Manage Friends", so since you are a friend now, be a dear and bring me a cup of tea. And while you're at it, please ask phaolo to bring me some cake. Do I need to open a ticket to monitor your progress? And don't forget to update your yearly goals in the friend tracking system.

I think it is pretty safe to say that except for those updates reported by Judas, all changes in the near past/future are purely for Galaxy compatibility.

Yeah, they are going through them A->Z it seems (except for free games, they seem to have been done first).
