HypersomniacLive: Is that good for us GOGers?
Seems more like it's good for users of other services who won't be forced to buy these games on GOG. I also think we got most of the Tommo titles GOG is interested in bringing, although there may be other games Tommo has that they have just been holding back on releasing until this Retroism deal was finished.

In any case, best of luck to GOG.

Also my impression reading the announcement, that's why I asked.

mrkgnao: There's a new Stickies Compendium instead (http://www.gog.com/forum/general/community_stickies_compendium_40).
That's not particularly useful for someone who wants to find out if there are any new posts in any particular thread. =/ Good for newcomers to the forums or people who don't know MaGog or Barefoot Essentials exist.

I suppose I shall have to 'sticky' the relevant threads as favs, but that section of the page is getting awfully long. =(

Did the same for this thread, and Barefoot Essentials and MaGog. ;-)

Not to derail this thread but at least if you need to refer someone new to a particular thread, all of the relevant threads are now in one thread instead of cluttering up the top of the forum :)

If I see classic Microprose sims being published on Steam but not here - I'll be seriously p.... ekhm...disappointed.

For a moment there, I thought you wanted to say pissed off! ;-D

Side note - if I were you, I wouldn't rule it out that you may have to get seriously pissed off, Night Dive appears to push Steam at every chance. :(

I don't blame them - Steam is place where they can collect most $ - there is really no point in making game GOG-exclusive. Let them publish games wherever they wish - all I expect is that GOG publish those classics as well. I don't want to see 'Humungous Ent.' precedent again and feel I'm not GOG's 'core audience' any more.

I wasn't implying it should be a GOG-exclusive, quite the opposite. ;-)

There might be still hope for those games down the road. :-)
