JohnnyDollar: That doesn't excuse the screw up to begin with and make it ok to pull it from customers' accounts.

I don't take it lightly when items get pulled out of my account. Especially an item that was "advertised" with the game at the time of purchase.

HypersomniacLive: You're not the only one, but apparently it's all good now that they've shared the blame with M. Morgan and posted a "Sorry guys!" in their forum. /S
I want either the FLAC or a refund.

I already have.

Edit: I'm still going to post about it though. ;)

Grargar: Interestingly enough, it seems that the Steam Digital Deluxe version never had access to the FLAC soundtracks. From this post that contains a link to the Wasteland forum, it is implied that only backers might have access to the FLAC version.
Yes, Steam Digital Deluxe version never had the FLAC soundtracks. I'm a backer and asked InXile about it via Ranger Center, and they sent me a download code for Bandcamp.
Anyway, looks like this thread deviated far from the topic. Let's keep it about "what did just update". If FLAC situation with WL2 needs further discussion - may be it's better to open another thread.

DyNaer: so it's crystal clear : InXile want the soundtrack (lossless) be bought through bandcamp

IAmSinistar: Dear InXile,

Fuck you.

Retroactively pulling purchased content so that you can turn into another revenue stream is a new low. It cements all the nasty stuff I've heard about your business practices lately. And it certainly ensures I won't be giving you any of my money.

Hoping you fold soon,

Sinistar
Pretty much, though fuck you too GOG for complying and removing content from people who already had it. If the FLAC soundtrack download isn't restored, I'm done buying from GOG.

I agree. GOG are directly responsible to the customers here, not inXile. They don't have access to our accounts.

To keep it on the thread topic: Wasteland 2 has been updated. The FLAC soundtrack has been removed. Current version is 2.0.FU :D

That really is a low move by the devs

Did you pay extra for the Bandcamp code? Asking because of this post from sea.

EDIT: fixed broken link, thanks Gonchi!

Your link's broken. I assume you mean this post over at inXile's forum.

JohnnyDollar: snip
I was tired of inXiles greedy bullshit before, but now I just wish the people resonsible for the Steam-DRM in the boxed copy, those different versions, the ridiculous european price and the flac pulling to go to hell.
Very, very bad business habits from a company that has gotten so f***ing much support (inclucing pre-financing) from the community.

I won't buy a game from them ever and Brian Fargo may has damaged his prestige with his "Steam = saviour of PC-gaming" statements, but now I begin to see him as one of the enemies.

Nope, they just sent me the code without additional fee. Not sure if it has something to do with my pledge tier though.

Doesn't matter anymore, issue was resolved a few hours earlier. Thanks for the reply, nonetheless. :-)
