Ghorpm: Is it just me or the price for 99 Levels to Hell used to be 5.99$? Well, it's 4.99$ so I guess it qualifies as an update. It probably wasn't announced due to... more pressing matters ;)

Do they actually not speak it or is it just a really heavy dialect because we have that over here.

It's a really heavy dialect. This, combined with Bavaria's tendency that they are somewhat special*, makes them a target for "they aren't really Germans" joke from people of other German regions.

(* Bavaria is a "free federal state" of Germany, most other states are simply "federal states" - it doesn't have any particular practical relevance, but it seems to be important in Bavarian politics. Bavaria also tends to be a bit disdainful of the northern parts of Germany. Of course, that's not true for every single Bavarian personally, but it's a pretty long-lasting element of Bavarian politics.)

It's a really thick dialect. When I was there for a field trip years ago, I had serious trouble understanding anybody. Made it kind of a pain in the ass to order things in the restaurants there.

Then again, there's that stereotype that Bavarians like to consider themselves to be separate from the rest of Germany...

(I think I just offended any Bavarians who might be reading this. I hope they can forgive me.)

There's actually quite a lot of different accents and dialects we have over here as well. Some are easier to understand even if you don't know them, others... not so much.
