HypersomniacLive: Thanks DyNaer for compiling the list.
I'm keeping a link to your post so that I don't redownload them until there's some actual reason to do so.

Seems it's time to add another voice to the complaints regarding this issue, I think I'm going to contact GOG with some feedback.

Thiev: Large number of Windows installers will receive silent update in the upcoming days. There are no game content changes, just installers' (removed billboards of games no longer in catalogue).

What is deemed a minor change receive no notification. If said change does not involve game content whatsoever, the build remains the same version.

Yes, you don't like it. No, I cannot do anything about it.

HypersomniacLive: Sadly, DyNaer did what GOG should have done - provide a list of games affected solely by the billboards change.
Can GOG at least tell us if there have been any changes other than the billboards to any of these and to which ones?
And if there are any others not in DyNaer's list?
i tried the support, but like the previous issue (in April 2013) , i didn't get any answer : and to be honest i don't expect one.

Since i don't own all games there , there 're probably more , and will probably more , because it's not logical they changed the billboards of Neverwinter Nights & not the billboards of Neverwinter Nights 2 (i'm almost certain they share the same type of billboards).

Well, I received a reply to every single support ticket I opened - not always the reply I'd like, but a reply nonetheless.

It sometimes needs more voices and constant reminds to get things moving, so I'll give it a try - we should regard this whole side-wide rewrite is an opportunity to push for changes and additions like the changelog and a better notification system. And even if it's not implemented now, we should still persist if we're serious about its implementation.

How long is it since you last contacted GOG? If it's been more than two weeks, I'd suggest you bump that support ticket.

I contacted them January 29th , i'm patient , there was the weekend, but i have some doubts to get any answer . I 'll wait a bit more before to give up.

They know pretty well the issue : here their official statement : http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_massive_silvent_update_game_list/post39

at least this time we got an information in advance ; but it serves no purpose if we don't know the games affected.....

I'm suddenly feel a great urge to redownload all those games and replace them in my archive, because they have "changed", even if I run over my monthly download cap. Oh god someone stop me...

Well if people are going to complain about this I can see only one solution - demand that the installers run in an on-line mode where they pull in fresh bill-boards on the fly from a live server - I'm sure that would make EVERYONE happy

Stop right there, dear sir. Don't even think of joking about that matter.
Maybe we should start with having update markings that work for added/changed extras. As of now the items are not marked and you have to look yourself which extra was updated after all. I noticed it again today when I found an update flag for Tzar. :/
Thanks again for another FLAC! Downloading...

Are you saying that you would rail against the GOG Live update installer running as a background service? :D

Same here even if the change isn't note worthy i still like being up to date on all my installers

Be aware that in some cases old installer is better, because some fixes broke the game (King's Bounty case, I think it's solved already, but it took a long time to fix it).

Looks like i need to research a little more before updating from now on.
