There were several updates posted here in this thread so at least for the moment it seems to be this way. Of course nobody can foresee the future.

You should get it. Just this February it received 6 updates on GOG, an update almost every 2 days. I was very disappointed with the devs when the first game came here, but they caught up.

One thing that remains though is the lack of Soundtrack for both games. If it nevers show up here and you tolerate other websites you can get them from Bandcamp, FLAC format and DRM-Free.

I guess it's due to removing all the christmas textures that where used in the hub area etc. (like the Duke Nukem snowman) and replacing them with the normal textures + adding the snowglobe in the Cave and making it an accessible mission. Maybe there are also some other fixes included but I couldn't find any more info about it.
