Recent GOG games tends to start with the Linux version.
It is funny to see some Library menu list like this:

Looks like a switch from popularity-based to alphabetical sorting... and, as a Linux user, it always makes me grin to see that Linux sorts above "macOS" and "Windows" when using the two most common default sort orders.

(Alphabetical is "Linux, macOS, Windows" while Lexicographic/ASCIIbetical is "Linux, Windows, macOS" because "macOS" begins with a lowercase letter.)

Trivia: The reason Acme makes and sells seemingly everything in Warner Bros. cartoons is that they're parodying the early days of telephone books when a ton of companies chose names like "Acme" to get as close to the front of the book as possible.

I'm not sure I'm following you... If you're referring specifically to Crawl, well, the macOS installer was added yesterday (and the Windows one was there from earlier on).

If you're talking about my reports, yeah, I just sort the updated files by file name so Linux installers always come before Mac installers, and Windows ones come last. IMO alphabetical order is the easiest way to do it (the fact that I'm a Linux user myself could've had something to do with it, but I promise it didn't :P).

Finally, if you're referring to your GOG library, I thought the default option on the 'OS' dropdown menu depended on the actual OS you're in (i.e. in your browser's user agent). At least I always get the Linux downloads by default (if the game is available for Linux, that is).

I am saying GOG library.
For example, the dropdown menu of Herald: An Interactive Period Drama - Book I & II Demo is:
LINUX
MAC
WINDOWS

while many other games use traditional sequence:
WINDOWS
MAC
LINUX

Oooooh, I see! Yep, you're absolutely right. I wonder what's the explanation for the difference between games... Maybe it depends on the order the different versions are added to the library?

Most likely. I suspect that they're just letting some layer of their system default to sorting by an autoincrementing integer primary key in some database table.
avatar
korell: It doesn't have its own entry in the My Account page, though, as it sits as an additional download under Deus Ex itself. I suppose it isn't a game in itself, so maybe that's why.
avatar
muntdefems: Nah, that can't be it. No DLC has its own entry in the Account page either, but they all appear in the catalogue.
Maybe because DLC is official content and the Deus Ex Revision mod isn't? Or it's a GOG mistake.

A little heads-up: both The Sexy Brutale and Yooka-Laylee previous game cards (the 'upcoming' ones) have been removed from the catalogue and they have been replaced with new ones with a new ID each. This means that if you had them wishlisted you won't have them anymore in your wishlist. Don't forget to re-wishlist them in case you're still interested in them and haven't bought them yet.
