MarkoH01: I did not either - one can see that Judas is on holiday.

MaGo72: I did get no notification either. It would be a great idea to have a sorting function in the shelf, like "day updated" which sorts the games with newest update first and oldest update last.
That would be a great idea but given the fact that until now GOG did not even manage it to use a proper sort order (not tot mention that they don't seem to know how "the" in title should be sorted) I don't think that GOG is really up to such a task. Maybe we should ask adaliabooks for he is obviously the better programmer here.

This goes out to the blues. If a game gets updated as frequently as Dreamfall Chapters does, and without any update flags, would you please deign to leave the goddamn older patches online?
No Judas, no update flags. Thankfully he's back soon. :P

skeletonbow: Dreamfall Chapters update gog-23 is NOT available for standalone download via GOG Galaxy at the moment. Oversight or time lag for the files to make it to Galaxy? I'll check again every few hours as it's probably one or the other. I'll report it in mantis if it hasn't made it there by tomorrow or so.

TIA

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]
Patch 2.0.5c (01st July 2016)
Performance:

- Optimize pathfinding
- Kill memory leak
- Make sure projectiles are properly destructed & recycled
- Make sure shadows are properly destructed & recycled
- Make sure HP bars are properly destructed & recycled
- Make sure effects are properly destructed & recycled

Bugfixes:

- Fixed a crash bug on beating bonus levels

- Added warning if game cannot autosave
- Fix crash in mod interface
- Fixed the crashdumper so crash log files will now be produced in your game's save directory! (Screenshots on crash is currently broken, but everything else is logged)
- Fix some random crashes
- Make sure battle layouts are preserved in imported saves
- Removed redundant achievements.xml file write when boosting to level 5 (caused slight lag)

like the idea i posted there ?

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_break_thread_20/post28

yeah i agree GOG sucks big time with the notification system (some games are not flagged almost every day.. and the notification system stop to work time to time.) , without speaking they never managed to "fix" the problem for games which have different id.... ie : i never got a notification for the Witcher 3 (since i got it through the Nvidia promo).

there were barely no effort made in the users library (except the changelogs)

if the client is "optional" then the library needs some work.....but since some months it's obvious ....we shouldn't expect anything soon....and we all know on what they are focused.

Big changes this week, that hopefully most of you will appreciate. :)

GOG.com Games, DLC & Extras (1399 + 181) (20160703)
GOG.com Marquees (1799 + 189 + 57 + 55) (20160703)
GOG.com Removed Games, DLC & Extras (55) (20160703)

Unless you're an avid G0G collector, and have been doing so since the sites birth, then there will be many games/files/extras, etc. that you will not be able to purchase and/or download. Since entries in the dat for such files renders getting a complete collection almost impossible, I thought it only fair to split out these from the main dat.

It's still a little WIP untill I get confirmation about anything I've missed removing from the main dat. So, if you know of anything like pre-order bonuses, soundtracks, or any other extras that have since been removed from sale, please let me know.

NOTE:
Removed from sale/purchase is not the same as removed from your account. When a publisher requested for example, a soundtrack, to be removed from sale, they were deleted from your account and the game card updated. People obviously complained, and so now they remove the item from 'new' sales, but it remains in your game library for download. This also applies to entirely removed games, e.g. the 55 in the current new dat. So now, all these removed items are in a seperate dat which new collectors may well wish to ignore 'trying' to complete.

Connie.

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]

2016-07-03 (04th July 2016)

- Increased the range at which bird flocks become visible on ultra-widescreen monitors.
- Resist debuff (shock ammo / dragon roar) will now lower the nether resist as well.
- Players can now encounter the Nether biome raid without admin intervention. Hint: try wearing as much nether resist gear as possible before starting a raid.
- Added a built-in healthbar to all dragon bosses.
- Fixed a bug that was causing fire-based towers’ damage over time effects to stack too much.
- Fixed a bug where the team manager script would forcefully kill NPCs, including dragons, if there were too many pirates present.
- Acid essence ammo’s heal debuff is no longer mitigated by resistance. Resistance now affects its duration instead.
- 03.1: Dragons should now drop the expected loot again and summon adds.
- 03.1: /open is now usable by the person that created the instance rather than the person with the lowest ping.
- 03.1: Raised instance respawn limit to 17 so players shouldn’t get stuck in /obs mode… as much.

2016-07-01

- Fixed dragons not dropping 75/50/25% loot for players other than the person that “owns” the dragon (lowest ping player at the time the dragon was spawned).
- Tweaked the dragon’s AI a bit more and fleshed out the unique perks of the Nether dragon fight.
- Fixed instance experience sharing affecting observers.

It just occurred to me... how does MaGog determine all of these changes to GOG's games? It'd have to have access to the entire game catalogue in an ongoing basis, does the GOG Downloader API provide access to enough information to gather this data even if you don't own all of the games, or has GOG made some special arrangement for MaGog, or does mrkgnao own the entire catalogue, or some other solution? Curiousity... :)

The sharp-witted reader will have realized that info for files is different depending on the game (e.g. compare file updates for Windward with those for any other game in my previous post).

Indeed, GOG offers limited info about all the files for every game, and all the info about files for games you own. mrkgnao has a pretty big library (more than 1k strong, IIRC), so MaGog has all the info for most of the games.

The only drawback is that, while access to the "all files" API is unrestricted and unlimited, the "your own games" API has some severe restrictions about e.g. the number of queries you can direct to it (or else you could risk getting your IP banned for 18h or so). This is what mrkgnao calls the "slow scan", which currently can take up to 11-12 days to go full circle.

PS: I'm not sharp-witted at all, and I didn't know anything about this until mrkgnao patiently explained it all to me. :P

Ah, very interesting. I knew of the not-officially-documented API the downloader uses but didn't realize such details about it. I meant to tinker with it a few years ago but got sidetracked to other priorities. :)

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]
Patch 1.20.1901 (04 July 2016)
IMPORTANT NOTE ON MULTIPLAYER GAMES
We have discovered a problem with how game data is stored. This has never been a problem in Single Player, but in Co-op it was likely to lead to desynchronization and potential crashes. The bug has been fixed, but unfortunately pre-patch saves can no longer be used in this build. If you would like to use your old saved games then please use the rollback function in the GOG Galaxy client.

- Fixes to game data saving - see note below,
- Added sounds to the following actions: event occurred, new turn started,
- Added move to top and move to bottom buttons on Crafting/Construction tasks,
- New look for co-op play panel,
- New icons for different types of Bigos and Leczo,
- Fixed item compare that was not indicating properly if a weapon was 1 or 2-handed,
- Event Editor fixes for Produce Drop and Deal Damage.
- Balanced building cost for Blessed Paths,
- Herbalist's Hut gives Herbs each turn, the amount depends on what resources it is build of
- Nerfed Karakandzas, these were too powerful for their difficulty rating,
- Changes to Kids Growing Up event - special classes will be available if there is an appropriate building in the village (Herbalist's Hut for Medics, Archery Range for -Hunters, Totem for Witches, Meeting Hall for Sages, Scholars and Inventors). Additionally, presence of Barracks will yield better Warriors, Smithy - Craftsmen and Manger - Gatherers,
- Fixes to events,
- [MP] fixed XP counter of the joining player that was not working correctly upon load.
