I guess the takeaway here in neither confirming nor denying something so straightforward is that Humble is procuring GOG codes from 3rd party key resellers and they may be revoked if they were bought using stolen credit cards.

Not necessarily. Defender's Quest is one of the only games I can remember to have ever shown up with GOG keys in several Humble Bundles, so it's quite possible that this is just a case of "not my department, no time to track down whoever IS responsible for answering".

You may be correct, but requiring top secret clearance to find out whether a product is legit or not is why so many people get so worked up about how GOG should be a better place than it is.

Interestingly, "The Witcher® 3: Wild Hunt - Game + Expansion Pass" is cheaper there for US customers (like me and you) than on GOG ($80 instead of $85).

If someone notices a big sale (at least 66%) on this item there, do please drop me a chat. I might just consider buying it (would be my first off-GOG game in more than four years, I think).

I did not. I thought GOG would be willing to provide some insight about GOG codes. Maybe I'll attempt to wade through the CDPR forums for the first time, but more likely I'll just let it go...

I can give you the same insight.
GOG will provide Bonus codes to the publisher of a game, upon request. Said publisher can then distribute the codes as they see fit. Restrictions may apply.
GOG will not provide gift codes, those must be bought by customers. GOG forbids the selling of gift codes, though not sure if they enforce it.

Ask the publisher. Quick tweet may be better than a forum post, but whatever works for you.

I was merely seeking skeletonbow's required proof from our conversation in gaming deals. Especially regarding GOG codes sold on other DD sites. Especially Humble. I asked in this thread because it was where Judas makes (made...) appearances often. I realize I'm asking the wrong person, but thought it was possible there was a really simple answer to a really simple question.

It would be nice to know, I guess, especially given mrkgnao's observation, but I already feel like I'm barking at the wind/yelling at a cloud. :)
