fishbaits: gog downloader shows if you've had a forum reply.

Bad isn't it, when a perfectly useful piece of software is of more use, yet is abandoned & yet the site which isn't abandoned, is a completely hideous mess...
avatar
tinyE: that's not the problem. I know I have a reply but when I go to the link i get the bear.
Ah, my bad. Old age strikes again.

tinyE: jesus christ, now I can't even see my PMs!

Does anything on this fucking site work!?

My grandmother is more reliable and she's been dead for 27 years!
I chuckled, but then I cringed. It's abysmal isn't it.
Some games I have bought for quite some time does not showed as "owned" on the homepage.
The same games also does not showed "OWNED" on their gamecards.
But I do have them in my Library. I can download their offliine installers without problem.

I bought them directly at GOG, never bought GOG keys in G2A or humblebundle.

Either it's a sale glitch (another...), or they've turned something off to ease the server load (not unprecedented), or it's one of those cases where you own the Classic or Kickstarter or Non-Beamdog edition.

Oh yeah, noticed that clicking "all collections" does nothing. The genre tabs work on IE11 though. On FF none seem to work.
Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series are not listed in the NEW tab of homepage.
For our own sanity and wellbeing I think it's better to accept that, during big sales, everything is broken by default, and carry on until the sale ends. :\

Exactly. That is why I'm not adding these things to the list, because sales are always crazy. Probably nothing of these things will still be around once the sale is over. If yes, they can get added.
Game updates aren't getting flagged, wasn't this fixed recently?

On the site? No, they're gone along with the other notifications, unless one uses BE.

Oh, that's too bad.
Weird, I'm using Barefoot Essentials and I'm still not getting any flags, guess I'll take a look at the configuration then.
Thanks for the helpful answer! :)

If you bought a game that was removed from the catalog for some reason, and then re-added later, this can happen. A good example is the fallout series. Fallout 1, 2, and Fallout Tactics got pulled from the catalog and re-added later after GoG made an agreement with Bethesda. If you purchased them before they got pulled, those are still in your library and you can download them, but they're not considered the same version as the new ones (I think some of the extras are different or some of the original extras were omitted in the new version, not sure which).

I have them in my library, but they don't show up as owned on the gamecards because they literally aren't the same software packages currently available for purchase... they just have exactly the same names.

From what I recall, this is the case only for the Fallouts. The Perimeter games for example do not exhibit that behavior, nor does Ceville.
I think the Fallouts do show that because buying Bethesda's Fallouts means you are eligible to get Arena and Daggerfall, while having Interplay's Fallouts doesn't give you said games.

It's also because the two releases of the Fallout games have different Extras due to licensing issues (the Interplay release had more). There are definitely other irregularities in the catalogue, as well.

Oh, and it's important to add that buying a DLC upgrade to a higher edition of the game doesn't literally give you the higher edition of the game as far as the store is concerned. That might also be what's going on, I can't say without more info.

That's most likely due to Judas being out of the office (till end of June), and nobody else at GOG having been tasked to flag game updates.
