adaliabooks: I'm not sure. I know there are various CSS modifications for the website floating about that different users use but I don't ever remember seeing a thread for it...

eiii: Okay, then I put my changes for the menu bar here in case anybody is interested in it. Thanks again for the hints and the help, adaliabooks and Maighstir!
Yeah, the more appropriate & useful response would have been to create a GOG CSS styles thread. You already said yourself it's off-topic here.
I pre-ordered Little Nightmares two weeks ago, it's in my library and I can download it without a problem.

But in the "popular"- list on the frontpage it isn't marked grey like all the other titles I own. And on the gamecard it doesn't say "owned". It seems like the only item I own is the soundtrack for the game. It was a pre-order bonus, but is now sold seperately. Very strange.

I think this can often happen with preorders... and quite a few other kinds of game too. Gog is quite bad and inconsistent when it comes to marking owned games.

Welcome to the "GOG uses different IDs for the same title" game.

The reason the game doesn't show as owned is that the one in your library (i.e. the pre-order version) has a different ID than the one sold on the store now. Happens with most crowdfunded titles too - if you got a game as a backer, i.e. redeemed a code handed by the devs/pubs, the ID is more often than not different . That's also the reason that when you wishlist a game while it's in the "coming soon" or "pre-order" phase, it vanishes from your wishlist and you have to add it again when it's properly released.

What's worse though, is that more often than not, you don't get update notifications for such games.

GOG knows about these issues, but we have yet to see a fix.
Thanks for your replies.

Another issue: I don't receive notifications for forum-replies anymore. :)

We have all discovered that all notifications are gone, for game updates too. Annoying.

Yeah that's a feature of the new menu bar... hopefully Gog will be re-implementing notifications (soon) but we can only wait and see.

Although I believe there is now a friends option in the menu that I don't remember seeing before (could just be I didn't notice it though) so hopefully they are still working on it.

Yep, it is definitely new, wasn't there before.
When you receive a chat message or a forum reply or a friend request and the account menu is updated to show a count of how many of each type notification you have both on the website AND in Galaxy, the counts start out as accurate, but then when you click on the link to chat/friends/forum replies and it comes up and you act upon it, the notification count is not updated until your reload the page.

Example: Someone sends you 3 chat messages. You click on the chat link to bring up chat, then read their messages. Now look at the notifications and it still says you ahve 3 messages making you think that someone else now sent you 3 messages, but you don't see any other new messages. If you hit reload, then look at the menu for chat it now shows 0. Same thing for forum replies and friend lists. Get 2 friend requests, go to the Friend request page, look at the nav menu and it says you have 2 friend requests still. Now click on the friend requests and accept/decline them and there should be 0 friend requests. Look at the nav menu and it still shows you have 2 friend requests even though you already just handled them. Reload the page and no more friend requests exist. The site does not intelligently update the counters once you've dismissed whatever the notification was about.

This is not a new bug/glitch/problem, it's been like this for eons both on the website and in Galaxy. I just felt like mentioning it now as I just encountered it yet again and it annoyed me enough to mention it this time. :)

It is:
- Not a new problem caused by recent changes to the navbar.
- Not specific to the website, it happens in Galaxy also forever.

Apparently notification synchronization is rocket science or something. :)

Yes this is annoying, and I know it's nothing new with GOG. Something needs to be done about this, even when you for example buy the 2 DLC packs for the Wicher 3 separately the expansion pass should also show as owned. This kind of stuff makes it hard to know what you have already purchased during sales and stuff.

Obviously I don't know how GOG is handling this stuff but there needs to be a simple check like: If game id (or these games id's) is owned then mark these id's as also as owned or something similar.

Johny.: snip
Just want to report some bugs/issues I noticed when using Google Chrome on the wishlist... when you hover with the mouse over the top part of the overview tab it messes up, see pic number 1. Also the options drop down menu in a wish overlaps some with the social links and text, see pic number 2.

I can confirm it also happens in Firefox.
There is another problem (at least in Google Chrome) which I first noticed after the "new navigation system" was introduced: On any game card in the user review section when I hover over the user name of the reviewer, I do not see that pop-up anymore with "view wishlist", "start conversation" and so on, I only see a thin grey line as if the pop-up is covered by the review text and only the upper edge is visible.

Both confirmed in IE too. And while we're at it, the account pulldown still not working on forum, page dims with the exception of a few bits, there's the arrow but that's it.

The EA games from the weekly sale don't show up if I apply the "discounted" price filter.

This affects store and wishlist.

EDIT: It's fixed now!
