Hmmm, ran into this for the first time. Must have been lucky I guess.
I know about the issue where being the first to comment on a news thread results in an error (the thread still gets created), and I know deleted posts can also cause some paging issues, but there we no deleted posts in the one I linked.

Good to know this won't be getting fixed any time soon I guess :P

Now seems to be working fine. 2nd page shows up with the last post on 30 posts per page, even though no posts have been added. Is it just some caching issues? Just seems strange to have fixed itself without any action.

Yeah, it usually happens more when there's high traffic on the site or on threads with lots of posts, but a brief delay may be common in nearly every thread. Sometimes someone else posting as well will make the new page get generated properly, but often it's just a matter of time, which can range between a couple of minutes and several, maybe even more sometimes. What may seem stranger is when the post appears right after you post it, but if you reload the thread that page, and therefore the post, doesn't show up anymore until said time passes.

I just noticed that a few files updated for the new Good Old Games initiative have updated files with the old file name (including the old build number). I'm seeing this with King of Dragon Pass, SimCity 2000, and Theme Hospital (and I haven't downloaded most of the ones I have that were updated).

Here's a hint: They probably updated the Dosbox config from codepage to UTF and changed nothing else. Or maybe even nothing!

I checked King of Dragon Pass (which doesn't use dosbox) and it was just the installer that changed :/. I guess that means the differences are the GOG EULA, the Windows 11 menu icon (no folder with uninstaller, just the game), and updated ads. I wish there was at least a slight difference in file name to reflect the different file.

Thanks, that's a separate different issue and is worse, "functioning as intended". I'd suggest you register your complaint at the GOG Preservation Programme thread.

Unfortunately in-place updates are an old problem on GOG. There was hope when they introduced the build numbers that they would increase them on every build. But no, they still do in-place updates. And with the preservation program even more than before. :(

Within library, sorting of games is completely non-functional.

This is a recent issue, as, earlier (this day), it had exhibited the expected behavior.

Don't know but i actually have 667 games in the menu under my account but inside the library it shows i have 5 more games which showed up today without getting more games?
Guess a number mismatch maybe, the thing is i didn't notice any new games.

Edit questinon was shadows: awakening ever free because for some reason i see it in my library.
I can't find it in my orders though.
Gonna search a little.
