I don't know if it's just me, but there's no Staff exclamation point thing for this thread, even though a blue posted in it:

In an interesting twist on this bug, there is now an exclamation mark on a post that has no blue posts...

Forum is getting even buggier than usual...

I'm wondering if a blue post was deleted in that thread.

I note that, in particular, post 13 has gone missing in the thread. Maybe that was the post that caused the exclamation mark to appear?

Edit: My reputation is almost too big to fit in an 8-bit unsigned integer. Just need one more point for overflow.

Good point. I wonder why they would have deleted it but that's probably what happened.

While the forum does indeed seem to be getting buggier (starting a new thread hangs again randomly these past few days), orphaned staff gears are nothing new.

New posts are currently not bumping existing threads for me.

Also, the weird typing cursor lag issue I mentioned here is seemingly still commonly (though it seems not always?) affecting me. It doesn't seem to affect the main site, only the forums and related sections (Community Wishlist etc.); using the nav bar's search function from a forum page works fine. Haven't checked to see if it affects product page review edit boxes.

I'm also not getting notifications of replies sometimes, and sometimes if a thread is replied to, or even if i've never posted in it, the link to it shows up as if i've previously read it.

EDIT: And when i posted this and the page refreshed, it put me on page 1 instead of current page.

Oh, apparently been going on for a while. Seems to apply to the topics I've participated in list, not seeing new activity there even though there is, and also wasn't even notified of that reply, just saw it now when I checked for this. Favorite topics still seem to work normally.

Now that you mention it, actually yes, may be an issue with news posts specifically (and not what I originally said, about recently active vs. favorite). Checked in the topics list, spotted the issue with the one I linked to and the recent FCK DRM one, and also this and this, which are all the news posts on the first 2 pages. Checked a handful of other threads, both normal and questions, and none seemed to suffer from this issue.
