It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

No account tab on the bar again. Assume it has something to do with trying to implement notifications again?

PS: Oh, and no... most other things either. Images, promo, whatever.

BAD NEWS for all(?) of us who have a huge games library and some games they have not yet downloaded: the "NEW" flag besides (not yet downloaded) games is gone :-(!

I have several games in my library which I got through sales (like Pinata) but which are not really interesting for me so I have decided to download and archive them "later" or occasionaly when I update my gog.com backup hard disk... now they have just removed that flag and only the blue dot for updated games remain... sometimes... I really start to dislike the way gog.com is always changing their website ... how they use cookies to sort the way my games are sorted in the library (hate the grid, prefer the list option, but my browsers are configured to delete all cookies on exit), and of course how they try to force me to use the galaxy installers instead of classic installers (and still offer no option in the account settings to offer non galaxy installers as default)...

It could be a temperary bug. I encountered the similar situation for 2~3 times ago.
(Only blue dot but no NEW flag)

Thank you for adding this information - I hope you are right and it is only temporary... until now the flags are still gone but I will check later/tomorrow...
Still broken...

HunchBluntley: Still broken...
And still hilarious...
Gwent Starter Pack is 2nd and 51st most popular game on GOG at the same time!

At least there are some new icons on the menu bar, not sure which icon is for which notification and if they actually work.

The flags on new games have been removed several times for me since the Piñata sale. I wouldn't bet on them to come back. At least removed flags never came back for me.

+1

They save other settings in the user account, so why not this one too.

Oh, that worked precisely once. Other than that, this is what I'm looking at today. (FF loads most images, but still no scripts, so no games list, no promos, no front page slideshow and so on.)

Okay, so the bell icon is for forum replies. And the notification for forum replies works, at least for me. Then the second icon probably is for chat messages, which means ... there's still no notification for updated games yet.

And there won't be.

No, second icon is just your friends list showing who's online.
Chat and forum notifications all go under the same menu item.

What a brilliant idea, pure awesomeness.

Does that man actually online, though? Or does anyone anyone just having the client running in the background also show as online?

I'm surprised that I'm still surprised by GOG's strange design decisions after all the years...

The latter I presume. As long as you're logged into Galaxy you are 'online' (which makes sense to a degree because you should get notification pop ups in that case).

At least it detects when you are online on the website too (according to Johny anyway)

At some point in time, probably recently as part of GOG's masterful expert spam blocking mission, they managed to break the way certain nested forum markup works. Putting bold tags inside the text of a URL tag, will cause it to display raw HTML <span> tags in the output retroactively across the forums. No doubt other combinations of tags are broken also I bet.
