It would appear that things work as should on the forum now - I managed to log in from the forum using a secure connection, and didn't even have to log in twice (as was the case earlier today).

I always log in from the the General Discussion page, which I have bookmarded using HTTTPS.

Hmm...apparently games on the wishlist don't get removed from it when buying the premium/special/whatever edition of it. Happened to me with Risen 2. Bought the Gold Edition and the normal edition stayed on the wishlist.

Anyone else got all their notifications wiped clean from their Account button on the nav-bar? I had to visit the front page for them to show.

Do you mean that the red game update notification number is visible when you are on the home page, but not when you are on the account page?

The Search section breaks one of the basic browser features, at least for Chromium based browsers: browsing back. For example, when you're in the forum and click the Search link of gog.com in the top menu bar, you are linked to the search section, but you cannot hit the browser's back button to get back to the forum. That's usually considered a web design no-go.

It's the same with Firefox. And it's not only the Search section in the top menu bar. The 'Games' and 'Movies' sections are also affected by that...

Never noticed that as I don't use the Games bar button at all and I don't even have a Movies bar button.

Clicking on Search (of Games for that matter) takes you to http://www.gog.com/games which then redirects you to http://www.gog.com/games##sort=bestselling&page=1
Clicking back from the second url will take you to the first, which once more redirects you to the second. Hold the back button of your browser and choose the second to last url to move to your previous location. Not a problem with the search section per se, but with the catalogue redirects.
Unsure if ssokolow's suggestion would fix it, but I trust he knows more than I do about web redirects.

Is something going on with the community wishlist? It seems re-arranged, and some titles seem to have disappeared, like Hexen 2.
Okay, it seems http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/hexen_2 re-directs to http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/hexen_i_and_ii so there's been some odd mergings going on.

Whoever did the merging presumably wasn't aware that http://www.gog.com/wishlist/add/games says 'One title only - don’t mention series, expansions or packs' and therefore the Hexen I and II entry is a rulebreaker.

So on the positive side, reports of duplicates may be having an effect now; on the negative side, bad reports may have bad effects.

I wonder why Hexen gets that treatment but e.g. http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/doom_2 is still separate from http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/doom_ii_hell_on_earth

Edit: oh, and wishlist comments seem glitched too.

Oddly enough, I used to suffer from the "log into homepage and it doesn't show you're logged in until you go to the community page, log in again, then come back to the homepage" bug on the site. I was plagued by that for 2+ years and I always suspected it was due to part of the site being https and part of it being http and the browser not sending https set cookies over http for security or similar security-boundary-transition type issues although it was never consistent so hard to be sure what the problem was with absolute certainty. It definitely seemed http vs https related though, and didn't matter what browser I tried it with. I do use extensions in my browsers that in theory could play a role in the problem but was able to reproduce it in fresh profiles without any extensions too so that seemed unlikely.

But now that problem vanished for me for some weeks now, not sure when exactly the problem went away because I log in and stay logged in and never purposefully log out, so it stopped doing it at some point and I can't pinpoint when. It very well could be when the site was made available over https universally though. At any rate, I no longer have the "Account button doesn't show after logging in" issue and it works like I'd expect it to work, although it seems like some people are still experiencing the issue which is strange. I'd say try logging out, deleting all your cookies for *.gog.com, also reset settings for *.gog.com in NoScript and/or RequestPolicy or other similar browser extensinns if using them, flush your browser cache, and exit and restart the browser, log back into the site and allow cookies+NoScript+RequestPolicy etc. access to the site and it's subresources.

If using NoScript's ABE feature, additional manual configuration is likely necessary however anyone skilled enough to use NoScript's ABE feature probably doesn't need to read my suggestions either. :)
