Avogadro6: Need to ask again if there are issues with the chat now (i.e. are messages getting lost?). I've been waiting for a reply from someone for over two weeks, and even with broken message notification I find it hard to believe that the recipient hasn't seen any of my messages.

That depends on what you mean by "sending or receiving messages". I've had new messages vanish (test by copying chat history with a friend) and old chat histories completely vanish.

I logged on today to see that I had 2 chat notifications. I could read one as the person was offline. The other is most likely from one of the 56 people (yes I counted, I'm 'that guy') who are currently online on my list as I checked the most recent offline people, and there is no way to determine which person (if any) sent me a message. I cannot delete any of the chats from the past 3 years. Oh yes we asked for chat history importation, but did anyone realise what we were asking for? :P Every person I have either sent or received a message shows on the list - fuck that!

I thought that things couldn't get worse (for me, subjective as always) on this site, but I was wrong! WTF happened to Barefoot Essentials working? Grey and no quick reply. I have already made the decision to leave GOG for good after re-downloading my collection this month, but boy one would think that things couldn't get any worse.

I had a ball whilst I was here, and am glad to have made the contacts and friends that I have, but communicating via the "tools" (UR A TOOL GOG WEB DEVS! Yes I had to shave off 20 years of IQ for that jab :P) currently offered is not my cup of tea.

Hmm...wishlisted still shows up for and owned only for the last addtions to my library....

It's a bloody mess that doesn't affect everyone, and not in the exact same way. See here, and there are some exchanges in the "NEWS: 24h #DealOverload - 2015 DRM-free Summer Sale" thread, if you want to scroll through them.

The most irritating thing is that this happens during each and every big sale; GOG just doesn't understand (or care about?) what growing bigger and playing in the first league entails.

Yes it's really messy. GOG desperately needs more servers....it's infuriating that i have to cheack each game on check-out if i already own it...*sigh*

But in your case none of games you already own is marked as owned?

This post of mine sums up my experience. And it's not the first sale I'm experiencing these issues, but GOG is always clueless as to why - right.

Well that's sucks....

Edit: Notifications are completely gone again for me....even the 'unread cog' doesn't always show up....

Sucks doesn't begin to describe it, it really makes me not wanting to purchase anything.

As for notifications - I get the gear, but other than that it's an unreliable mess, but what else is new?
