PaterAlf: Who tells you that they don't already have clauses about fines for developers who don't keep their games up-to-date? It certainly is something that neither GOG nor the developers/publishers would talk about.
As I said, I don't care what GOG will do. So far I see no results. That either means GOG does nothing, or what it does is totally insufficient. The result is the same.
PaterAlf: So in other words you want to punish 90% of the gamers that get a perfectly well working game…
"does not care == wants to punish"
Presumably, my lack of care for Windows is totally
unbearable for some people. :)
L -- Logic!
PaterAlf: …just because you are not content with the version you got for your "niche" OS?
Niche. Why the emphasis?
What exactly does this word mean, in your opinion?
Something that has its place and satisfies some specific demand?
Or did you use it as an euphemism for "second-class", "unimportant", "marginal" and such?
PaterAlf: It's more like acting like a little child: "If I can't have fun with the toy, then no one els(sic) should play with it!".
Running out of arguments already?
"If the reasoning fails, just ridicule your opponent, calling her/him a
little child. That should do it!" :)
PaterAlf: Just ask them. I'm pretty sure you can already get a refund and don't have to wait for the game to be delisted.
Thank you for your hints, but I know what to do and have different considerations on this matter.
Overall, I don't know why are you keeping arguing over the proven fact that "This War of Mine" is outdated on GOG and trying to persuade me that being outdated on Linux or Mac (compared to being outdated on Windows):
1) is somehow being "less outdated";
2) does not count;
3) is a false claim (because I've "kept a secret" some "very important" aspect);
4) etc.
Worse yet, I have
some reservations regarding your neutrality with this game.
The point is: this is totally off the rails dispute and has nothing to do with the topic.
I suggest to stop and will do just that. ;)
