Unannounced as in "not explicitly mentioned in a news post". I know that's the definition I use for my "unannounced promos" thread, anyway; a mention four pages deep in a forum thread isn't quite the same. :)

If it's mentioned post 1, sure. If it's mentioned in post 79, like what you linked, then no. Post 1 is the announcement, other posts are just comments.

If they edit post 1 and add the info there, then maybe??

Eh, it's just my definition for these types of things. kbnrylaec's reckoning on the matter might well be different. But a post in a thread is nowhere near as visible as the OP in a news article's comment thread (or any other stickied post), which appears at the top of every page.
My personal rule of thumb [EDIT: for the purposes of these tracking threads, that is] is: "mentioned in front page news article ( = mentioned in OP of forum comment thread) = announced; only mentioned in forum comment post, or only appearing in one of the tabs on the lower right of the front page, etc. = unannounced".

It's not exactly a new game, but a demo for <span class="bold">Dex</span> has been silently added to the catalogue.

For some strange reason it is Windows-only, though. :\
