It seems a lot of popular games (Witcher 3 amongst them) are not on sale currently. Are they going to be added to the sale later on?
Awesome! I will wait for the last few days to see what else comes here before buying.

PLEASE GOG PUT THESE ON SALE! Been waiting to see these hit sale for a while now.

Tzar: The Burden of the Crown

Rune Classic
Is the gog summer sale dynamic or static? In other words do the actual offers change over time (like they did in earlier Steam sales - before the refund policy), or are all offers fixed at the beginning of the sale and only the featured games on the title page change (like in current Steam sales)?

petitmal: 50% of 29.99...

how does that make 15.09?

skeletonbow: I observed this oddity before and spent a while trying to figure out the GOG math involved. I figured it out. :) Basically, GOG's primary game pricing is in USD as it always has been, of which prices always end in either a 9 in the last digit. They then apply the discount (ie: 50%) to the USD price of the game, then they convert this discounted price to one's local currency. This results in prices that end in random digits which for marketing purposes looks ugly which is why stores usually always end prices either with the digit 9 or 5. (Personally I think that is silly, but it's how the entire business world works.) So, they round upwards the last digit to 9. This results in the advertised discounts being incorrect with respect to each country's local currencies. However the discount percentages are also always stated as integers (ie: 50%), so the few pennies of difference is not enough to drop the advertised discount down to 49%, so the actual discount is something like 49.98% or similar, but always gets shown as the integer 50%.

To replicate this, take the price of the game in USD, apply the stated discount to it. Convert it to your local currency, then bump the last digit up to 9 if it isn't already. Now subtract the offered sale price of the game from the regular retail price in your local currency ($29.99 - $15.09) to get the discount amount (14.90), and finally divide the discount by the retail price (14.90 / 29.99 = 0.49683227742580860286762254084695%). So the actual discount is 49.68322774...% off. Stated as an integer, this rounds off to 50%.

And that... is why the GOG discounts do not show up correctly for non-US customers during GOG sales.
Thank you for the explanation!
Any one got any suggestions on what to pick up on this sale?

meelten: ...snip

Since I'm just about finishing Baldur's Gate marathon I guess I'll grab Siege of Dragonspear + something cheap to get Sunless Sea. Not bad deal.
I'm still contemplating about Siege of Dragonspear, It's 4$ (if you own the previous enhanced versions),
but that's still almost half of what the originals full price cost, with less then half of the content, which is also said to be mediocre.
I suppose I can see myself paying 2.5$ though, as that would be 1/4 of the original version full price :)
Getting the Sherlock bundle (with one owned title) will leave me hanging at 4.96$, so that Sunless Sea won't be at reach...
Maybe I'll finally snag https://www.gog.com/game/divinity_2_developers_cut as @ 2$ it can't get much lower, which may drive to actually play the previous titles that where part of my backlog for several years now :)

It really depends what are you interested in. IMO Sherlock, Ultima, Lands of Lore, Broken Sword, Dracula, Realms of Arkania, Men of War and Blackwell series has great discount. You know - GOG is curated platform, I think almost all games below $3 provide nice fun/price ratio and are worth trying, especially if you still like playing classics.

Well, I'd say give the Metro series a try if you haven't. Good games, both of them. Watch out for yellow snow though.
Even better, if you're in the mood for a trip to the Zone... go with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The atmosphere in these games is nothing short of amazing.
If you're looking for a colorful experience, I've heard good things about Divinity: Original Sin. Oh, and the music...
There's also Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, described by some as a powerful exploration of mental health.
Can't recommend Saints Row: The Third enough. I had so much fun playing this one. Laughed so hard at times, nearly fell out of my chair.
What else is there? F.E.A.R., Pillars of Eternity, Brigador, Grim Dawn, Expeditions: Conquistador and many others.
It very much depends on the mood.
Got with Connect: Grim Dawn, Legend of Grimrock, Prison Architect and Psychonauts.

And finally BG II: Siege of Dragonspear with a decent discount

tropit9: i have amnesia: amachine for pigs on steam, and gog connect does not respond to it. how do i fix this?
Same here. What is interesting that Connect did recognise Psychonauts but not Amnesia machone for pigs. I guess we have to wait a couple of days. If after that still doesnt work, i will just contact support. Nevertheless, good sale GOG. The layout this time around is perfect :P
