thanatos127: The wording regarding unlocking Sunless Sea and RiME is throwing me off. ~"...spend just 5$ to unlock a free copy of Sunless Sea, or pick up 20$ worth of games and earn RiME!"~ Does this mean if I spend over 20$, then I only get RiME for free? Or would I receive both?
avatar
lanipcga: You'd receive both for free, as spending $20 or more would hit both freebie markers ($5 and $20, respectively).
Thank you! That's what I assumed, but wanted another's input to confirm :)
Thanks a lot for Xenonauts, GOG and Goldhawk Interactive!

The "Recommended" list / section of the front page is a waste of time... why the hell is it 3 pages of recommending me games that I already own?

Edit - Seems to have refreshed itself - however about 70% is still recommending stuff I own (different editions and the like) a la tyranny / PoE etc... that bloody bugs really needs to get fixed ><

Point_Man: Will there be more games going on sale throughout the sale or is everything that's going to be on sale already on sale?
They will add more games in few batches.
avatar
Epitaph666: Good Sale so far. Could i ask for more Tiers in "Pay more to get another game"?
Got my Delta Force games, and a few others but now i'm thinking there will be quite a few more games out in the following days.
avatar
amund: Seems unlikely, don't think they ever have added new tiers in a sale. There might be another freebie or big release half way through but other than that I don't think there will be any surprises. Higher tiers would be great though, I always spend more during the summer and winter sales so it would be nice.
I think they did at least once. Can't remember the game though. Or what year it was. I just remember the bar wasn't finished (as it is now) and after a few days they introduced one more game to be free when you purchased $50 worth of goodies.

ciemnogrodzianin: b]Blackwell Bundle is set of 4 short, but really unique adventures.
Just a note though: you'll also need to buy Blackwell Epiphany for the series (and the story) to be complete. Only buying the Blackwell Bundle will get you nowhere story-wise. That said, Epiphany is approximately as big as the first four chapters together.

Also, to add to your recommendations of Wadjet Eye games, Technobabylon shouldn't be missed and the same applies to Primordia & Resonance; excellent games. ;)
My poor wallet... whyyy reeeeeeeee

And also Gemini Rue (my favourite aside from Blackwell series)

He already mentioned it in his original post. :P But yeah, excellent game too!

ciemnogrodzianin: Nope. In my case 2 game have been added, but Amnesia is still not found. There was some info on Polish forum that they had issues with games' versions and separate DLCs. Steam DB is quite messy in that matter. They were looking for some solution, but it looks that there is no one yet.
Ok then maybe should be some issue with versions like in this next case i cite below.

avatar
Kakarot96: I redeemed Amnesia with Connect approx. an hour ago without any problems. I have my steam games listed as public, maybe it's something related with the last changes to privacy?
avatar
supplementscene: I redeemed other Connect games so I don't think so. I think I bought it as a 2 game package though so maybe that could be why.

I'm not super bothered. I mean it's not a fave and I can play on Steam without any bother.
..same here, maybe dlc's and different version of the game (given that it's in a package and that things happen unfortunately) and are treated as a different game with different ID.

lolplatypus: Where Sunless Sea absolutely excells is setting and writing. It's probably best to treat the game as a collection of CYOA vignettes. The role of the gameplay is to guide you through these portions via trading/exploration and slightly break them up / add tension via combat. To that end the gameplay is serviceable, but the stories are very much the star of the show.

Zubmariner is more of the same, really. There are some very minor gameplay additions, but regarding

needs the expansion for the basic gameplay to be improved and some say it's even mandatory
avatar
lolplatypus: No, absolutely not. If you didn't like Sunless Sea because of the gameplay, I'd be shocked if the DLC changed your mind. It's basically a map extension.

It's worth noting that Sunless Sea's design aims for multiple playthroughs in roughly the same way modern roguelites do and Zubmariner integrates fairly well into that structure at pretty much any point. As such it's not one of those DLCs you definitely need right from the beginning to get the full experience, so I'd suggest starting out with just the base game. If at that point you find yourself enjoying Sunless Sea and just want more of the good stuff, get Zubmariner.
Thank you very much for the detailed info! What i was saying is what i have read in a few reviews, so i was not sure of anything. Now i have the rest of the sale to first try the base game and decide if i want to add Zubmariner while on sale.

Thanks again!

Yup, in fact i have bought Gemini also along with the Blackwell bundle. I will add the Epiphany for the story to be complete. Thanks!

Strange fact: The Witcher 3 is not on sale. Yet.
Maybe it's me, but some of the prices seem pretty high for a sale. Nice freebie though, but I'll take Enemy Unknown or Terror of the Deep over Xenonauts any day.

RIME is over-rated in my opinon. Finished the game ages ago and I don't even remember it now, but to each to their own.

Vythonaut: ...
Yup, I'm aware of Epiphany's existence. I've just finished first 2 games so far, so no reason to hurry;)
And I'm satisfied with first one and very satisfied with second one. I can see how they match, but, to be honest, I was thinking about them as nice single games. I suppose Unbound would be great game even without playing Legacy before. It's short, nicely written, presents interesting story and characters and works well on its own.
avatar
pbaggers: About bloody time New Vegas goes back on sale.

Now to give Bethesda the last $10 they will ever get off of me.
avatar
MadalinStroe: After playing Fallout 3, I would have agreed with you. But since then... Doom, Prey, Dishonored, Wolfenstein, Rage 2. They make too good singleplayer games to be so adamant. It's surprising they have such consistency with their quality. For what it's worth, even Fallout 4 isn't a bad game, it definitely isn't a Fallout game, but as a singleplayer sandbox game, it is a very good experience.
Todd, is that you?
How difficult is Populous?
And which part is the best one to start with?

The prices are really tempting, I was thinking about buying the whole series just because it's famous title and it'd be nice to try it for historical interest reason ;)

But I'm terrible in strategies and quickly become both defeated and frustrated. Does it make any sense to even try? Old strategies are usually quite unforgiving...
