hummer010: If KotOR 2 had been in the bottom tier, I'd have bought it already, despite owning every single game in the bundle already. I have KotOR 2 here at GOG, and not on Steam. Having it on steam means updated game and native Linux. $6+ is a bit rich for a game I already own though.

Grargar: Here's hoping that Aspyr's product manager words aren't empty.
Interesting. I hadn't seen that. I sure hope it happens!

BoxOfSnoo: Oh and Force Unleashed I & II.

Chandoraa: Friendly advice: skip those.
I think that's why I skipped the top tier in the last one. I may never get through all of the Star Wars games I have already!
avatar
blotunga: I wonder if i should get the $1 for Battlegrounds or wait for a discount on GOG.
avatar
amrit9037: Wait for it. That game is worth a wait!!
Only 63 more days until the May 4th sales.
avatar
Antimateria: Who does that? Put a sequels in the first tier? I mean COME ON!
avatar
Wishbone: Well, this is Star Wars we're talking about ;-)
Oh right. =D
I'll happily wait for a GOG sale.
Eh, not worth it. Only steam. Those two Star Wars games from the bundle I wan't should get some good discounts in the future here.
It's actually a pretty good bundle. The 75% coupon is underrated. I guess people are right that its Disney's call on how to distribute keys but then that makes me question how they view GoG going forward (they wouldn't even provide a DRM-Free copy let alone a GoG copy).

I think there must be more to it than that. I have a feeling this can not be the only reason why we almost never see gOg keys in bundles. I think gOg generally just dont participate (for various reasons) in this practice. Also, it seems they do not have the same infrastructure on generating keys as Steam have, so it is not as easy.

What would be more profitable for a company that deals in only one method of activation? Steam. Even if GOG keys were easier to generate, I doubt we'd see them in bundles from big companies.

For Indies? Maybe, but Disney is far from an Indie company (maybe an Indy company).

For a company, there is really no difference in Steam keys or gOg keys. All they need do is distribute the keys, and let the store deal with the rest. If the key generation process for Steam and gOg was equally easily accessible, there is no logical reason of preferring one over the other.

I don't know about that. Desura keys were supposedly easy to generate too, but I never saw any Desura keys of the non-Steam Paradox games while the store was still around.

I would think this is the kind of stuff that annoys DRM-Free advocates. In this case, we know that DRM-Free copies are available (through GoG) yet the publisher (or GoG or both) choose not to distribute those for whatever reasons there are. If the main reason is to make sure that traffic goes to Steam, then what exactly is their reasoning for selling product at a site like GoG then? I would think they would give at least half a damn of copies that are sold here.

Pretty decent, imho, maybe worth it for the KOTORs alone (which I already owned). I'm still not seeing much use for the coupon, though. Care to recommend a SW game that's in Humble Store but not in the bundle? Because at a quick glance I only saw games I owned or didn't care about.

Pretty much, and GOG has surely made a pretty penny on it (relative to them) with some of the games like TIE Fighter, X-Wing, Galactic Battlegrounds, etc.
