I recommend growing habaneros yourself. It is cheap and easy and you are in Greece! There is nothing like the taste of a fresh cut habanero.

Bhut Jolokia is much better!!!
But Habaneros are okay, too.
Tabasco is OK, but I often find the amount of vinegar in it a bit unpleasant. I tend to prefer Sriracha sauce, which some others already mentioned. Taste preferences aside, it's also generally a lot more price efficient than those tiny Tabasco bottles.

Chipotle Tabasco is god tier.

I just hate that I have to import it at a premium, no one sells anything but plain Tobasco locally.

fortune_p_dawg: yes! i do that with my sriracha too! last night i was eating sriracha on tortilla chips and i was writing daedric letters on my chips with the sriracha squeeze bottle. hah!

my wife was like "wtf are u doing man?!"

Interesting -- I just checked, and the local German Amazon site sells the stuff at about the same price as the standard version.

What's special about it? Is it merely spicier than the standard sauce?

While it's definitely a little spicier than regular Tabasco, it just has a fantastic, smokey, savoury chipotle pepper flavour.

Chipotle Tabasco? Hm, Tabasco sauce is called "Tabasco" because it`s made of/with Tabasco peppers. A sauce made of/with Chipotle peppers would not be Tabasco sauce anymore. Weird!

I believe it uses both peppers.
If you are having trouble with original Tabasco, some of the suggestions on this page will burn your tongue out for sure. I find this to be generally a better flavor than Tabasco...

Any flavor will do, but the original is the best of the bunch for me.

Not really hot but adds a little heat...

I love this stuff personally. Makes the finest burgers you will ever have.
One spice to rule them all: Oregano (goes with a wide variety of meat)

While I personally like chipotle Tabasco more, Cholula is a great sauce, especially over chicken and some nice beer batter chips.

Epitaph666: wow! Had to google those! They actually have a metric system for spicy stuff?
When i read this :

"In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that the ghost pepper was the world's hottest chili pepper, 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce. " i was blown away.
We have some sea salt infused with ghost pepper. It's wonderful. Especially enjoy it on roasted beets with a little feta. For the most part, though, I don't get a big thrill out of super hot peppers. Habanero is about as hot as I like, although it depends on the dish the peppers are cooked in.

Someone mentioned Thai spices and I have to agree. I love the green curry. Thai green curry coconut milk chicken... mmmmmmm.

I also agree with the comment on Tabasco being a bit too heavy on the vinegar, but I may have to try the chipotle variation. I love chipotle.
habanero peppers are spicy, I have some tortilla chips with habanero peppers spice here :D
Try some Swazi Fire if you haven't already.
