Starmaker: How do I get a refund?
avatar
elgonzo: Dito. Saw ShadowRun HongKong for 4.69 Euros, and clicked the "Buy" button.
Stupid me, instead of checking the item again in the basket (i just glanced at the price, which was okay), i just went on with ordering. And so i ended up with "The Swindle", which i only noticed in the confirmation email.

What? Then i checked this thread and realized that i have been fooled by the broken web frontend for the sale.

Going to contact support for getting a refund now... :(
Just explain your situation, you'll get your money back.
Oh no, oh god no.... I just paid my credit card off last week, so its wide open to be filled with games....
The only way for me to buy games without using my existing store credit is to purchase the game via the game page. Got Harry Potter 1-4 in my basket, checked out at £3.49 and by the time the payment went to Paypal it was back to £13+ WTF? I thought if it was in your basket it was reserved at the proce shown? It's bad enough I have to race for the game page every time I want to buy something but this is ridiculous. It's taking all the fun out of the sale. :-(
There are still some problems in the connection between The EarthNet and The GogNet

:/

wait, i have a free hong kong

edit: by which I mean don't buy another Hong Kong. Do get a refund.

I actually miscounted by emails. I bought Hong Kong and got another one as a gift but mistakenly thought I bought it as my 11th game (since the gift email arrived earlier than the purchase email. Turns out it was the 10th game (so, I got 2 copies of the same game with my 10th purchase -- which sucks, but almost everything does, so whatever).

The thing that made me stick around for the last insomnia sales was the chance to get a free game for every new sale and maybe buy a few games along the way. There's no way I'm going to buy 10 games to get a game I probably don't really want. I haven't bought 10 games in a single GOG sale, have most of the things I want already.
Arcanum for 1.39?

If you don't have it yet; GET IT!

Aaaand it's gone.

I don't think I've ever bought 10 games in a sale before. I Don't think I'm going to get there at these discounts especially.

I hear you. This technical glitches are no fun. And it is the same story every sale/release. And the fact you cannot click to the game pge from the picture is a negative for me too.
I always like these special sales and this is always cool to wait for the games and in the meantime come here and talk - but this time I rarely even get to see the picture of the actual game in question, before it is already sold out...

So no sale for me this time... oh well. But fingers crossed for all the other "hunters" out there - go get 'em, boys 'n' gals :)
Jotun is back :)
