Yep.

Habanerose: Honestly doubt it... as people are supposed to be kept in the dark, so they're more likely to buy early and often.
avatar
TwistedFate.385: That doesn't work in late game. More people are likely to buy a game they've been waffling on if they know they won't get another chance.
They let us know in previous insomnia sales. But indicators are that we're nearing the end, so who knows.

I can't say I'll be sad to see it end. The changes in sale format never generated the forum crowds, multi-hour desperation or sleep-deprived merriment of previous insomnias. "Insomnia" in name only, basically. I hope they return to a longer cycle time in the future. It made it tougher to get the games you wanted, but it made for better Goggite bonding.

OTOH, this sale did well enough to sell out of its allotted freebies well before time, so maybe it's been spectacularly successful from a sales viewpoint. If so, I imagine this format is here to stay.

The_Blog: They might add more games. They did the same thing yesterday.
avatar
no_skill: Yes, but by this time yesterday, they had already added the phrase in a balloon over the left sheep. Now there is none. Plus no freebies left...

Anyway, no complain. I've got what I wanted, I'm just curious.
First new game yesterday didn't hit until 40 minutes from now. Let's see what happens at the top of the hour since that is the same time the promo started on Monday.

Laberbacke: Sentient plants ARE disturbing.
They certainly are.

Happened to me just now. I'm bummed...

no_skill: No "New games added" on the mainpage.
Are we closing to the sale's end?
I hadn't noticed that detail until you pointed it out.
It's telling.
avatar
Laberbacke: Has "Never Alone" been on before? Anyway, looks good, plays alright, is short. Any questions?
Yes, yes it had.
i should be glad, i just bought only one game...

Sorry, dude, you're about 18 hours late to the Freebie party. Trust me, you're not the only one that is irked about the lack of freebies. They even mentioned it (in blue text, no less) in this thread...

Rumor has it that it is buried in the FAQ that game copies are limited, and that freebies are mentioned around that time too, therefore they are limited, too. I didn't parse it that way, but some other non-native speakers, did, so...

Usually, it is customary (around here) to say it in this fashion:

Free game after 10 purchases!* (typically font size: 72)
*While supplies last (font size: 8, typically in a color that partially blends in with background)

Anyway, judging by the odd amounts in the sales 27 for metro, 76 for walking dead bundle, I'd say that this sale's nearly done. In 25 minutes, we'll likely be greeted by the standard page (like in the last insomnia sales), with no mention of the sale whatsoever - unless you can find this topic.

Bought 10 a little bit before the freebies expired so I'm on the lucky side.

Yes I did see this in the FAQ. I find it very un-GoG
Well it's Easter shortly so I guess they will start up their Easter Sale.
