We've been studying your valuable feedback on this annual event, including comments like "AAAAARRRRGHHHHHH!!!" and "Please, why won't you let me sleep?!". You lucky Insomniacs will also be treated to a number of games never before seen on GOG.com as well as the best-ever deal on our crowning jewel - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (-50% after the recent price drop, that's $24.99 in the USA).

If you want to learn more about the intricacies behind this whole science of non-sleep, check out the promo FAQ. But don't dally there too long, because games will start disappearing before your bloodshot eyes!

zlep: How many hours until "Day 4" starts? People have previously cited a "magic time" at which new games appear, but I don't remember what it was. :-(
2pm GMT.
avatar
j0ekerr: I also completely forgot abot their Jurassic Park game.
I bet they want to do the same too.
avatar
NuffCatnip: That´s a game I´d like to see on gog. :)
Do you feel the need to torture yourself?
avatar
omega64: Save your money.
I will.
avatar
zlep: Their Minecraft game has also attracted a lot of "meh". So GoT isn't a complete outlier.

Look at it this way - without the Telltale Jurassic Parks, the Master of Orion 3s, and the Ultima 9s of the gaming world, how would we know what "good" was? ^_^

I had fun playing it. :D
Maybe I have masochistic tendencies. :)

Laberbacke: I wouldn't call GoT bad. Then again, I never read the books or watched the show.
To be honest, I think those are the people who complained the most. Aside from the graphical glitches, the complaints I heard the most were all related to the way that GoT handles characters and events. I don't want to give away spoilers, but the books and the game treated events and characters very similarly, and if you aren't familiar with the series it can seem a bit hopeless.

Dear GOGs,
Please release something cool like Jotun or JULIA again today, say Firewatch or The Witness :)

I know it won't happen, but man I would so jump on either of those even though I've really spent more than I should have already.

seashells: lol nothing wrong with Jack Keane, I played the first one ;P
avatar
Bookwyrm627: Funny you should mention that. It was Jack Keane 2 that was the big problem.
Nothing wrong with the second one, either. It was just new and on a small discount, surrounded by known classics at super-cheap prices.

Besides, as forum meta-gaming goes, the Keaning was a tonne of fun. ^_^

Wasn't that the one that had a LOT of qte's?
Even going so far as to give you rankings on how well you did.

Great suggestions!
I really hope this insomnia will last at least 1 more day. I healed tonight from 2 insomnia infused nights but I found it in my heart to give a chance to Shadowrun Dragonfall. If I'm not mistaken Insomnias lasted like 4-5 days, so there's still hope for some new stuff today as well.

Konrad: Gawd I hope I didn't miss anyone here.

If you should have gotten a freebie before we officially changed the message on the front page (around 10:20 PM GMT), please let our support team know and we'll set things right. It seems that the end of the freebies got pretty buggy.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll get the process started.

Also, I can't speak for the others, but I didn't see that you had replied to me. It might be because someone else replied to another of my posts later, though. Just an FYI.

Yes, yes yes. And lots of gruesome deaths.
