OliD: Either GOG's image servers are severely lagging or my connection is. By the time that friggin title image is loaded, at least half the games are gone. Yeah... no.
avatar
op2017: I have a similar problem: the image of the game that is on sale right now doesn't show up. I have to clikc the BUY NOW button so, that I can see what is would be, if I would check out.
I've noticed the Monkey Island sale had a text overlay showing the game's title so maybe they've noticed it as well...? The image/title thing doesn't refresh automatically, though, and I can't be bothered to hit refresh myself each time a new offer pops up, so...

takezodunmer2005: Bah, the one time that it sucks having well over 200 title here!...My games still keep turning up! xD
avatar
justanoldgamer: Try having over 800.
Maybe that's why I'm broke.
Bwaa-hahahahaaa! So true! lol!.. (Plus, I'm a game collector to boot) I just got a nice windfall, that's why I'm here!

j0ekerr: Wow, I couldn't even click on the Monkey Island games.

I think that was the fastest one so far.

Ah, PoE, finally we'll get a chance to relax.
I'll go take a leak.
Edit: Or so I thought, but even this one is going faster than candy at a school's gate.
The fastest ones are going in 2 minutes. Hope your bathroom isn't at the other end of the house. =)
Not a fan of this sale tbh.

Rivdoric: What's the meaning of this Jack Keane Joke oO ?
It's from the first insomnia sale when a few hundred copies of Keane took several hours to sell. People even posted joke reviews about how the game can cure insomnia etc.
It has become a term to designate anything that takes longer than normal.

Doc0075: So we can't buy insomnia games as gifts unless we already own that exact version?
Was gonna buy POE: Hero Edition as a gift but it wouldn't let me as I own a different version of POE.
My guess is this prevents re-selling, or at least makes it a lot less profitable as the price effectively doubles, which is a lot less attractive for people buying these to profit - instead of those of use who want to play them.

Habanerose: Edit: This is made worse by the low stock numbers... 25?! Come on guys, 100-200 at once would be better
100-200 brings its own set of problems, when the sale stalls because it's something nobody wants, as has happened before.

phaolo: Fake or fraud, I guess.

Neverfree: Never had any issues. But sure
There have already been many cases of games bought with stolen credit cards and then resold on G2A.
Not a fan of this sale tbh
