angel7000: there was a glitch with games of thrones set. :)
there was?
on the sale, or in the game?
I see.

Time of the year this cancer that is Insomnia sale appears again. I didn't find it enjoyable or exciting last year, and this year is no different.

Anyway. I don't get it. How can a digital, non-physical item have a limited number or "run out"? Sounds like an excuse to make people go for an impulse purchase because "It is limited". Got to admit, the sheep really is a clever theme, it describes the gullible people who always fall for these "sales" and spend way too much money on them.

Oh, well. At least I didn't waste a cent on this promo.

I can't help but feel a little bit "of schadenfreude" toward those people who went and splurged all their money only to get a "free" game and only got 9 games or less and got thoroughly shafted.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the odd themed sale every now and then, but I feel this format is a bit unfair towards people who can't sit at their computer around the clock repeatedly hitting F5 to refresh the page like the sadsacks they are. :P

If only would just cut down their prices across the board permanently instead.

I really wish GoG returned to their roots and started releasing Good Old Games again. I have grown a bit tired of these "indie" games. In my opinion "shovelware" would be a much better term for some of this garbage..

Anyway, enough of me ranting. I know this earns me a lot of hate but I just had to say it. Carry on.

I only bought stuff i wanted.
I wasn't itching for the free game... it's still a pity though, some free bonuses are always welcome.
It's supposedly random anyway, which means i probably wouldn't even redeem it as there is a high likely-hood its something i would never play.

what would be cool is if when you got to the criteria allowing a freebie it should select a list of them that you are eligible for.

if you do this ( hitting F5 to refresh the page like the sadsacks they are. :P) youre brain is to underdevelopled for this. its auto-refresh so no need to click f5. Im extremely productive but i have 3 monitors so i can basically do whatever i want.
i need shadows to go away... so i can see whats next before i go home...

i don't like this sales format.

Heh. "Awesome offer: Buy 10 games to get a random freebie you'll likely never play, and whoops, we've already run out of copies, sorry." The freebie promo during this sale is quite embarrassing. XD
Every game I checked was regionally priced, how are you supposed to use all this store credit if you got most of the old pre-regional catalogue?

Not really, many here use scripts that do it for them which is cheating.

Cant pls everyone. I dislike the bundled games concept GOG launches every Xmas day. But love the Insomnia sale.
The pricing and discounts available @ a given price AND given quantity are determined by publisher. Not GOG. So unfair to blame them.

I am here for games of my wishlist, not some freebies I already own.

Bought Victor Vran and X-Wing Alliance. I don't regret buying them both.
