Soccorro: Is it just me or is this sale turning out to be a bad joke compared to the past sales!!?? I mean no classics, tiny quantities... What happened!?
avatar
Bookwyrm627: Define "classics", because I've seen a couple of older games.

Also, the low quantities are (I assume) to keep things moving even when a less popular game comes up in rotation. A few insomnia's back, Jack Keane 2 would pop up with like 500 copies, and then sit there as the sale for the next 6-8 hours. Hardly insomnia if you can get a full night's sleep and still expect to see the same sale available when you get up.
but that was so much fun! when jakc keane showed up and we invented a new word "keaning" :D

GOG.com: <also tagged blues>

Bookwyrm627: J.U.L.I.A., a game so new, it doesn't even have a game card yet! Sale order is blank.

You guys might want to double check any other games that are "New On GOG" for this sale.
what is this
Wow, Stealth Release is another new feature on GoG. Maybe Oblivion and Skyrim were released long ago and nobody noticed, because it happened in a stealthy way? :D
avatar
immi101: these stealth releases with absolutely no release announcement really suck. especially since there still is no link the game page at the insomnia sales.

What's the masterplan behind not advertising these new additions to the catalogue?

Mondkalb: Eastereggness? ;-)
hiding the stuff you want to sell?
sounds like a "interesting" business strategy :p
Well, they "hide" it in plain sight, and we are already discussing it. :-)
avatar
Pica-Ludica: Blimey, I blinked and almost missed the D&D bundle. Almost. :) It lasted what, a few seconds? ^^;
The Monkey Island bundle also last a few seconds. I managed to get both.
They added more games. Won't you stay awhile more? ;)
"Stealth" way to purchase.

Check the "Upcoming" tab and click on the gamecard for the game.

I've HEARD you can delete the "Coming Soon" part of the URL, hit enter and you'll be able to buy, albeit at full price. Or wait for it to show up again in the sale.

They're going to make official announcements soon enough, I'm sure, but the games won't be discounted then. (Or at least not nearly as much as they are for these small quantities.)
I could go with Kerbal and Turok for a break. :D
looks like insomnia sale doesn't count the purchases, but just the checkouts. so go to checkout to help speed up things, if its starting to get slow.

yeah, well I'd rather read all those funny stories than experience it myself...pretty sure most people who had to wait 8 hours back then didn't find it that funny.

Something that didn't exist when JULIA first popped up in the sale rotation. I even double checked to see whether the periods were necessary. :P

Sleeping is pretty fun.

Wow do we really have a copy stalled out with three to go?
