ThomNG: Jack Keane 2 will not come back within this Insomnia sale ;) you know, we do not want to damage a legend!

liamphoenix: I kinda feel sorry for it.

It's not my type of game but from what I hear it's a decent example of the genre.

It was just a really bad combination of timing, quantity, and price that made it such a legend.
The Keaning will live on in our memories! I'm sorry to hear Jack won't be taking part, although since I already own both his games, it's just sentiment talking.

I have to say, every time an Insomnia sale rolls around, I immediately think of Nordic, so Jack Keane has been great for brand recognition. ^_^

It was like half-time entertainment (if half-time break lasted longer than the match). And we were so sleep-deprived, we even appreciated the Keane poetry...

anyone guess how long the actual sale will go on for all things considering the changes to the format this year? ie smaller no.of units per game, faster rotation.

Can see Kerbal displaying keane like qualities...

ReynardFox: Also one would think selecting 'contact support' from your actual order history would automatically fill that info in, but it doesn't. Because of course it doesn't.
Tut, tut. You've got to tame down those wild expectations... ^_^

Think GOG would not like me to take away the surprises on games being included in that sale :) just made a note on Jack Keane due to its special connection to this sale.
Why exactly is Kerbal so fracking expensive to begin with?

Even if it makes the difference between me going to bed or giving them money?

Yes, Kerbal is now keaning on us. All people who wanted a copy already got one. The same happened to Jack.

j0ekerr: I read something similar happening to other people in this very thread. Their interrim solution was to use paypal.
I'd advise you to do the same.

skeletonbow: There are at least two potential problems at play. One is that if your purchases here (or anywhere else) are at times of the day, or show other forensic characteristics that differ greatly from how you normally use your cards, or show forensically patternic behaviour similar to fraud and other abuse, the security measures at a given bank/card company may kick in preemptively to prevent potential fraud. The second issue is that GOG uses a payment processor in Cyprus and it is just a coincidence that a lot of fraud scams also move money through Cyprus, so many banks/card companies will freeze cards that have unexpected transactions going through Cyprus if they're not aware that they are legitimate ahead of time.

The simple solution to both problems if your card company does not call you first, is to call your card company and talk to their security department and let them know that purchases made through GOG.com are legitimate and that they could happen sporadically at any time of day and in any number from time to time during sales promotions. Ask them to put GOG.com on your security whitelist to not trigger false alarms and they should be able to do this for you likely. I had to do this with my card once and have never had any problems since.
1 - Yeah, gonna have to use paypall next time Kyrandia shows up, or sleep, whichever comes first. Thanks!

2 - You're completely accurate. I know the procedures, it happened to me two times before already when I donated money to Wikipedia and again when I donnated to Mozilla. I'm waiting for the bank phone call to make me prove that I'm me. Guess they're polite enough to not call in the middle of the night.

Not to worry, the games that were available 6 hours ago are remarkably similar to the ones on sale now.
Kerbal... sounds familiar... I brings up weird memories of impatience and pulling out hair.
