I did not pay attention to can voice an informed opinion on the quality of his; or her interventions; i can relate to supporting a cause dear to oneself, but activism starts when there is an obsession to bring them about forcibly and that seems to be the case by dtgreene's posting history, as far as i could browse the forums the last few weeks...

On the positive side, i read dtgreene regular posts about game mechanics with much interest; usually great input making him/her a valuable member of our GOG community aside from these little quirks.

I think it's silly the game previously had gender restrictions on items. Why make it impossible for a man to wear womens clothing? There's nothing stopping them to do so physically in the real world, just silly conventions and taboos.

Maybe because you can't just put clothing on a 3d model and expect it to adhere to the body as it would in real life. Everything needs to be carefully adjusted and rigged so as to fit each body type available. That's a lot of work to do, and companies simply feel it isn't worth the hassle (which is why even AAA+ titles with zomg graphics tend to be populated only by tall, slim, muscular males and tall, slim, busty females).
