theslitherydeee: Here's a series that might be worth looking into. If they do bring it here all 3 games should be bundled together like the Space Quest series.
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/vote_for_the_carnivores_series
(Sorry I never said anything about this. :P) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnivores_%28series%29 suggests there were various publishers for the games, so it's hard to know who has the IP currently.

I did send an email and tweet to http://www.beatshapers.com/about, as they seem to be the publisher of the HD title.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------

Not much of an update, but I did send a new email to Interplay about Cyberia 1 & 2 (again) and Normality's American voice. Even if Cory Feldman can't make it, I think C1&2 can. (I also sent Turnipslayerr an email about C1&2.)
For Carnivores, you can also try asking the developers, Tatem Games:
http://tatemgames.com/
Those are the same guys who made Chasm: The Rift, but they don't have the rights to that one. =\
Though, I feel awkward asking Ukrainian teams about these kinds of things given the current situation in the region.

I actually just heard back from Beatshapers (pretty quickly!) saying they'd forward my email to the "IP owners", so that may well be Tatem Games as you suggested.

I wonder if Carnivores were 3Dfx compatible.
Got reminded of Seven Cities Of Gold today (loved it back on my C64), and discovered I had somehow missed this release - Seven Cities of Gold (Commemorative Edition).

It looks great and it's a DOS title, so I'm thinking of hunting it down. Any concerns or benefits to it being a Ozark Softscape/SEGA release?
Regarding Seven Cities of Gold (Commemorative Edition), I have emailed Melanie Bunten at http://www.ozarksoftscape.com to see if she knows who is the current rightsholder.

Mobygames lists Ozark/SEGA as Devs but EA as publishers so I've gone ahead and added it to my list of missing stuff under EA - thanks for pointing that one out!

Sure thing, I figured EA was in the mix somewhere as well. If I recall properly my C64 copy of Seven Cities came in one of those "album sleeves" that EA favoured in their formative years. Also known as "the days when I liked them". :)
Just heard back from Melanie Bunten at Ozark Softscape, she has the IP for all of her father's titles. Here's hoping she is interested in seeming them revived, and that GOG is interested in being the ones to do it. :)

Did he die?
It's sad when guys who made the games I grew up with, like Mike Singleton pass away, makes me feel old too!

Yes, and it is saddening. Also sobering for me, since I'm barely a generation younger than these guys, if even that.
It seems TERC, the company behind the Zoombinis games recently reacquired the rights to the series, and are in the planning stages of a remake of the original game for tablets. I sent them a message on their Facebook page, asking if they would ever consider a GOG re-release. They responded saying they were unfamiliar with GOG, but would look into it. Fingers crossed!

Black Mirror 1 is acquired by Nordic Games!

Since we have them on board already there is a high change we see it here, in the meantime you could drop a vote to stir the soup :P
Among other things, I had been looking for the rights-holder to Baldies, and it turns out they were right under my nose this whole time: Zenimax. Here's a list of all the game trademarks and copy-rights they hold:

Man, I'd love to be able to play SkyNET again. =\

Hmm unless I'm being blind, I can only see Fallout 3 and New Vegas listed - the other 3 should be on there too now, surely?

*edit* Also Redgard is listed under Elder Scrolls but Battlespire is separate - that's a little odd...

Hmm looks like they might now be able to release all 3 to me, including the ones published elsewhere by others
Added to my missing IPs list under Nordic, so thanks for that
Just a shame they have nothing to do with the Charlie Brooker Channel 4 series though

Because computer games need more disturbing, biting satire!
